On February 26, 1999 Desert Hot Springs won the coveted Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting contest 1st Place Gold Medal for the world's best tasting Municipal Tap Water. That moment in water history was the beginning of over six years of the actual formation of WWRF into a popular non-profit foundation.
