Multi-talented actress, singer, television host, playwright, songwriter and author Kathie Lee Gifford hosted this year’s Broadway on Broadway, Sunday, September 9th. It was presented by United Airlines and The New York Times. The event kicked off the 2012-2013 Broadway season with star performances, from new shows and long-running favorites. Appearances and performances included "Falling Slowly" from Once, "It's All Happening" from Bring It On: The Musical, "Brooms" from Stomp, "For Such a Time as This" from Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson, the cast of Annie, "Boy Falls From the Sky" from SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off the Dark, "Are You There?" from Bare, plus a special Nederlander 100th anniversary celebration. Photos courtesy of China Airlines and Rick Ho, Sing Tao Newspapers Taipei, Taiwan - China Airlines (CAL) proudly announces that starting April 28, 2011, flights from Taipei to New York will stop over in Osaka, Japan instead of Anchorage, Alaska. CAL will operate three round-trip flights per week on Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft. The route change provides more choices and comfort to passengers traveling between Taiwan, Japan and the United States, as well as additional frequency on Taiwan-Japan routes with three additional flights between Taiwan and Japan. At present, CAL already operates seven flights a week between Taipei and Osaka, and this schedule change will bring the total to ten flights a week. Good News Planet announces Good News Japan.
