CO-FOUNDER OF BEN & JERRY’S HOMEMADE, INC., GREENFIELD HAS HELPED TO BUILD A STORE FRONT VENTURE INTO A $300 MILLION ICE CREAM EMPIRE BY MAKING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CREATIVE MANAGEMENT STRENGTHS, RATHER THAN WEAKNESSES.
GREENFIELD WAS BORN FOUR DAYS BEFORE HIS FUTURE BUSINESS PARTNER IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, HE GREW UP AND WENT TO SCHOOL IN MERRICK, LONG ISLAND. A few words on the book: It's about teaching and showing people (and businesses) how to ease their financial struggles - their endless efforts to make ends meet or get those few extras out of life, that their income doesn't seem to allow for, or ever will. However, it is possible to have more without earning more.
People are in need of this kind of guidance - from everyday spending to huge hospital bills.
On 'Pimm Fox (Taking Stock/Bloomberg Radio)'......I was referred to as the man who teaches us how to squeeze more juice out of our orange.
1) "It's My Money & I Want It!" An interesting name. How did you arrive at that name?
2) What is your book about & why is it different from all the others out there?
3) A little history about yourself

I am proud to share that since Eco Boys and Girls inception at the esteemed Liberty Science Center three years ago, we have taken many strides around the world to promote the importance of environmental education. Most recently, we have been developing a 6 volume book series for Pre K to 3rd grade that is being promoted by the National Education Association.
On Earth Day 2013 a reading of our first book "Meet The Eco Boys and Girls", alongside Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax", were both featured as part of the NEA's Read Across America Program for their significance towards earth stewardship.
This past weekend, the Brooklyn Children's Museum hosted a reading event with interactive activities.
In addition to the books, we are currently working on expanding through various … [Continue reading...]
NEW PAGE TURNING NOVEL "AND WHEN SHE WAS GOOD"
Ripped from the Headlines story about Suburban Moms who are Madams
Throughout her prolific career, both as a reporter for the Baltimore Sun and a novelist, Laura Lippman has written an impressive collection of tales, ranging from the beloved Tess Monaghan series to her riveting and intellectually complex stand-alones. Critics and fans alike have praised Lippman's unparalleled ability to weave together thought-provoking, intricate plotlines with fully realized and compelling characters. USA Today calls her work "disarming and fascinating," while The Washington Post simply proclaims that Lippman is "one of the best novelists around, period." Now with her new stand-alone, page turning novel AND WHEN SHE WAS GOOD (William Morrow), Lippman … [Continue reading...]
The passing of one’s spouse is much more than his death and your loss. It’s about you, your acceptance of what was, your adaption to what is, and your re-invention. You have no other choice.
Thus, I begin the photo exhibit with a photo of Andrew and me at a black tie event. This type of event was part of what was. . .as was the dancing that we both loved.
The next step in my journey was MOVE ON WITHOUT ME, the book I wrote upon his passing. Mad as hell at him for passing, mad at the doctor who made the error that resulted in his death – from this to realization of how blessed I had been. . . and memories, which sustain and enhance. My philosophy was get up, get dressed, get out. In other words, live your life as it is now. You can’t go back, only forward. You have only one choice. Woe is … [Continue reading...]
