He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1986. He finished his internal medicine residency there in 1990, spending an additional year as the chief resident. He then did a fellowship specializing in cardiovascular disease at Columbia University, where he was chosen as chief fellow in his final year.
He specializes in primary prevention, valvular disease, consultative cardiology, echocardiography and non invasive testing.
His office at 903 Park Avenue in Manhattan has old world charm, but utilizes the most cutting edge technology to assist in cardiac diagnosis. He has another office adjacent to Columbia University Medical Center, the hospital he is affiliated with.

Wells Fargo is helping to kick off the Diwali season by continuing its collaboration with Operation Smile, an international medical charity, to help provide life-changing surgeries for children and young adults in India born with cleft lip and cleft palate.
