The health benefits of wine can sometimes be overstated by people who are a few glasses deep and slurring their words. Should you ever find yourself in a position to defend your moderate imbibing, you have supporting evidence: A new study says two glasses of wine daily can potentially reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer's.
The study, which appears in Scientific Reports, shows that wine has an effect on one's glymphatic function, or the way the brain removes toxins. Born in a scholarly family, Mr. Li started learning Chinese traditional calligraphy from his grandfather when he was six years old. Over the course of 50 years, he poured his heart into Chinese traditional calligraphy and never stopped perfecting his skills. He is the one and only Chinese calligrapher who can use formal script, cursive script, official script, Jinming script, Dazuan script, Xiaozuan script, running script and Weibei script to write Chinese character. Among them, official script and running script are his specialties. Mr. Li pioneered Pu’er calligraphy and it’s famous for its vintage appeal, long lasting aroma and perfect combination of calligraphy and tea ceremony. A Look Back at 2017....
2017 was another successful year at PEACE OUTside Campus. We accomplished the following things:
We produced a video version of our Teens 'N Transition to College Program (TNTC).
During the Spring semester, we piloted the video version of our program (TNTC) to over 600 students at Academy of Mount Saint Ursula, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Clarkstown South High School, Pleasantville High School and the Save A Life Event at Lakeland High School.
Margaret Campe at the University of Kentucky was awarded the Lindsey M. Bonistall Research Fellowship. She is conducting research related to on and off campus safety with results to be published in 2018.

This week we hosted our 7th annual Finger Lakes Cellar Visits as part of the New York Drinks New York program, which is made possible through generous support from the Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority. The cellar visit connects trade and media from New York City to participating wineries from the Finger Lakes. The participants on this visit included Morgan Harris of Aureole, Ryan Totman of Corkbuzz, Nicolas Prieto of the Grand Hyatt New York, Ollie Sakhno of Keuka Kafe, Barbara Wong of The Modern, Jhonel Faelnar of The Nomad, Chelsea Carrier of Vinateria, and wine/travel writers Susan Gordon and Kat Odell.
