Time Warner Cable continued its support of New York City’s Hispanic community by sponsoring the annual Hispanic Day parade, held along Manhattan’s 5th Avenue on Sunday, October 14. Several prominent members of the Hispanic community were part of the Time Warner Cable float. Salsa singer Frankie Negron performed live, and was joined by boxing champion Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin and NY1 Noticias reporter Juan Manuel Benítez.
“We are very proud to have sponsored the Hispanic Day parade, which attracted more than one million spectators on a beautiful day in New York City,” said Alessandra Otero-Reiss, Time Warner Cable’s Vice President of Multicultural Marketing, East Region. “We’re passionate about helping our customers enjoy their communities better and we are happy to support cultural events around New York City.”
Best known for music that combines the salsa influences of his Puerto Rican heritage and the rock and roll roots of his home state New Jersey, Frankie Negron has earned numerous Grammy Award nominations, Billboard Award nods and two Premio Lo Nuestro Awards for Song of the Year.
Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin is an undefeated, Cuban-Americanboxer and the No. 1 ranked WBO middleweight contender. Fighting out of New York City, Quillin gets his first world title shot on Saturday, October 20 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, airing live on SHOWTIME®.
