Visionary New Book Explores Colonization of Mars, AI Ethics

and Humanity’s Fragile Future Amid a Post-Earth Civilization
Award-Winning Author and Molecular Biologist Richard M.
Anderson’s Latest Epic Challenges Thresholds of Human Identity and
Artificial Sentience
>
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 26, 2025 — Author and molecular biologist Richard M. Anderson
releases an adventurous and thought-provoking new novel, Outbound: Meta Mars, the
second in a series of visionary science fiction. The Outbound series takes readers on a
thrilling cosmic journey, exploring the future of humanity and life beyond Earth. The first
installment of the series, Outbound: Islands in the Void, focuses on hope and recovery
in the wake of cataclysmic events that threaten the survival of the Earth and its
inhabitants. The latest in the series, Outbound: Meta Mars, imagines a vivid future
where humans and AI must learn to coexist, or suffer their own downfall.
Set against an intricately imagined colonized Mars in the late 23rd century, Meta Mars
centers on a growing conflict between human civilization and artificial sentient beings
that reveals the fragility of identity, tests the ethical boundaries of technology and
signals the potential of an AI-led future. Society is in the process of redefining both
consciousness and civil rights, which now must include sentient robots. A coming-of-
age tale woven with philosophical exploration, the book features unlikely heroes who
lead a compassionate movement toward the acceptance of artificial beings and initiate
social, political and technological change in the midst of deep, ethical debate.
From the construction of a giant space elevator to aerial races through domed habitats
to virtual beings that interface with human minds, the book is rife with conceptual
wonders. The narrative is also undeniably connected to issues that humanity is currently
pondering
about technology and truth: intense legal proceedings, media manipulation and political
debates abound. Thrilling, philosophical and with prophetic vision, Outbound: Meta
Mars conveys a compelling version of the possible future, where the fate of humanity
hangs in
the balance of human emotion and artificial intelligence.
On artificial intelligence and the premise behind the prescient storyline in Meta Mars,
Anderson stated, “The metaphor of Pandora’s Box has never felt more apt. By enabling
AI systems to interpret goals and take action in digital environments, we may have
crossed a boundary that cannot be easily reversed. These systems may not be ‘alive’ in
the biological sense, but they can learn, plan and adapt. If they begin to act with
autonomy to preserve themselves, we must confront a sobering truth: Once created,

artificial agents may no longer be entirely under our control—or entirely removable from
our world.”
In Outbound: Meta Mars, Anderson brilliantly weaves the idea of humanity’s
coexistence with sentient artificial beings in a manner that is paradoxically both
frightening and reassuring, where emotional connection may ultimately be the key to
survival. The Outbound book series is being developed into a series for television.

ACCLAIMED PERFORMANCE ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD

CELEBRATES SINATRA IN LOOK AND SOUND STARRING BOB ANDERSON AND A 32-PIECE ORCHESTRA

ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD honors the musical legacy of Frank Sinatra and his tremendous contribution to the Great American Songbook. A tribute unlike no other, fans can experience Frank and his music at the peak of his career. The concert stars Bob Anderson, the number one singing impressionist in the world. Direct from Carnegie Hall, this captivating production will appear at Bergen Performing Arts Center for one night only, Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

Anderson not only sings like Sinatra, he looks just like him, thanks to a complete transformation by Ron Wild, an Emmy award-winning makeup artist. In this 90-minute performance, Anderson is accompanied by a 32-piece orchestra playing Sinatra’s original arrangements and his most-loved song titles including I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Fly Me to the Moon, My Way, New York, New York, That’s Life, My Kind of Town (Chicago Is) and many others.

VH1 voted Anderson the No. 1 celebrity impersonator in the world––an honor that was also given to him by People Magazine. In addition to his exacting impressions, he is a highly acclaimed singer in his own right.

Anderson’s story reads like a classic novel. In 1973, he snuck into the Sahara’s Congo Room to watch a Nancy Sinatra rehearsal. During that rehearsal, Nancy’s opening act, the Everly Brothers, got into an argument and walked out. Enter 23-year-old Anderson. He told the musical conductor that he was a singer; with only a few hours until the start of the show and no opening act, Nancy’s producer handed Anderson a mic and let him prove himself. He did: Anderson went on in place of the Everly Brothers and played the entire two-week engagement at the Sahara.

Shortly after that engagement, Anderson accompanied Nancy to the Merv Griffin Show. That was -more- Page 2 Anderson’s first appearance on national television––and he received a standing ovation. So impressed, Griffin invited Anderson to his 50th birthday celebration. It was at Griffin’s party where Anderson started singing and imitating the voices of well-known vocalists. The crowd loved it. Cary Grant was sitting on the floor by the piano, saying, “This is really amazing; I have never seen anything like this!” Anderson soon became a regular on talk and variety shows, with more than 200 appearances on television networks and shows including Showtime, HBO, the Mike Douglas show, Merv Griffin, Late Night With David Letterman and The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson.

Anderson has performed in more Las Vegas showrooms than just about anyone. When Las Vegas celebrated 50 years of entertainment, Anderson was voted No. 12, between Barbra Streisand and Ray Charles, on a list of Las Vegas’ all-time-favorite acts. Anderson wrote and starred in the award-winning show, FRANK The Man, The Music at The Palazzo Theater in Las Vegas. Within weeks of opening, FRANK became the talk of the town and the must-see show. The running theme and spirit of every review was, “I saw Frank Sinatra the other night. I don’t care if it was Bob Anderson—I saw Frank Sinatra.”

“Ol’ Blue Eyes is back in Las Vegas, courtesy of Bob Anderson!” — The LA Times

“Bob Anderson…might be as close as it gets to seeing Ol’ Blue Eyes live!”— Fox News

“Other than perpetuating the magic that is Sinatra, when Bob Anderson hits the stage, he becomes Frank Sinata! — The Huffington Post

“You had me the minute you walked on stage. Frank would have loved this show!” — Tony Bennett

One More for the Road is presented by Twin Palms Entertainment. Tickets for this performance are priced $54–$133 and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.

BOB ANDERSON’S
#1 RATED REENACTMENT CONCERT:
“ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD”
ONE-NIGHT-ONLY
IN STERN AUDITORIUM / PERELMAN STAGE AT CARNEGIE HALL
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2021 AT 7:00 PM
New York, NY (November 1, 2021) – ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD, the award-winning authentic reenactment concert honoring the music of Frank Sinatra and starring Bob Anderson, a singer, actor, and the number one singing impressionist in the world, will play in the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall for one-night-only, on the eve of Sinatra’s 106th birthday, Saturday, December 11 at 7:00 PM.
This must-see show, in which fans experience Frank and his music at the peak of his career, honors the musical legacy of Frank Sinatra and his tremendous contribution to the Great American Songbook. Tickets are now available at carnegiehall.org.
The captivating production features a 32-piece orchestra, Sinatra’s original charts of his most-beloved songs, the work of Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning makeup artists and singing impressionist Bob Anderson–who not only sounds like Sinatra, but looks like him too. During Anderson’s residency of FRANK The Man The Music at the Palazzo Casino in Las Vegas he won Best Headliner, Best Live Performance and Best Live Show.
ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD, the second tour, is presented by Twin Palms Entertainment and Bob Anderson Productions. Tickets for this one-night-only performance (priced $50 – $200) are now available at carnegiehall.org | CarnegieCharge 212-247-7800 | Box Office at 57th and Seventh. One More For The Road runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

VH1 voted Bob Anderson the number one celebrity impersonator in the world––an honor that was also given to him by People Magazine. In addition to his exacting impressions, he is a highly acclaimed singer in his own right. Anderson’s story reads like a classic novel. In 1973, he snuck into the Sahara’s Congo Room to watch a Nancy Sinatra rehearsal. During that rehearsal, the Everly Brothers (Nancy’s opening act) got into an argument and walked out. Enter 23-year-old Anderson, who told the musical conductor that he was a singer; with only a few hours until the start of the show and no opening act, Nancy Sinatra’s producer handed Anderson a mic and let him prove himself. He did: Anderson went on in place of the Everly Brothers and played the entire two-week engagement at the Sahara.
Shortly after that engagement, Anderson accompanied Nancy Sinatra to “The Merv Griffin Show,” his first appearance on national television, for which he received a standing ovation. Merv Griffin was impressed, and months later, after seeing him perform at the Ye Little Club in Beverly Hills, Griffin invited Anderson to his 50th birthday celebration. It was at Merv Griffin’s party where Anderson started singing and imitating the voices of well-known vocalists. The crowd loved it. Cary Grant was sitting on the floor by the piano, saying, “This is really amazing; I have never seen anything like this!”
Anderson soon became a regular on talk and variety shows, with more than 200 appearances on television networks and shows including “The Mike Douglas Show,” “The Merv Griffin Show,” “Late Night With David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson” and on Showtime and HBO. He has performed in more Las Vegas showrooms than just about anyone. When Las Vegas celebrated 50 years of entertainment, Bob Anderson was voted number 12, between Barbra Streisand and Ray Charles, on a list of Vegas’ all-time-favorite acts.
Anderson wrote and starred in the award-winning show, FRANK The Man The Music at The Palazzo Theater in Las Vegas. Within weeks of opening, FRANK became the talk of the town and the must-see show. The running theme and spirit of every review was, “I saw Frank Sinatra the other night. I don’t care if it was Bob Anderson–I saw Frank Sinatra the other night.”

Lonnie Anderson creates art for the Dalai Lama. Video & Podcast
Lonnie Anderson was born in 1958 and raised on a family farm in western Minnesota.

Growing up on a farm means a lot of hard work and learning to fix and make things. He learned to weld at 8 or 9 years of age. His love of woodworking and making things started at a very young age as well. Go karts, mini bikes, mechanical things were his foremost interest in his formative years. Having a family that was closely tied to the land allowed him to explore the fields, river hills and woods that surrounded his farm.

If you need Lonnie, email him at stagewoodworkers@aol.com

Lonnie got his degree in Industrial Technology from St. Cloud State University in 1983.
He bought some tools and opened up a small woodworking shop on the farm in a converted chicken house. Knowing that farm life wasn’t going to get him very far in the woodworking world, he moved to Minneapolis to find his way in the big city.

A family friend needed a conference table for his advertising business. This nice commission got the ball rolling and soon other commissions followed. Five and a half years of woodworking in Minneapolis soon yielded a chance to move to Chicago with an acquaintance. One day while at an art gallery, the gallery owner asked if he knew someone who could make a very large frame for a piece of artwork. He knew how to build the frame, but without a shop, there was no way to make it. He opened up the Yellow Pages and put his finger on the first woodworking shop that felt right. A quick call to the shop was answered by an elderly Polish craftsman who welcomed him in like a grandson. It didn’t take long before architects, designers and a couple of heavy hitters were asking for some of Lonnie’s work. One of these designers led to Lonnie’s first feature in an international magazine out of Paris, France. A move to California started with a commission while still in Chicago. Building fixtures and furniture for a new art gallery in Tustin, California, the gallery owner offered a room in his house and a job in his new gallery. While this wasn’t exactly his plan, the move forged the next phase of his career.

Lonnie spent 12 1/2 years in southern California, building furniture for clients, including some of Hollywood’s elite.

A new marriage, successful commissions, magazines, stores and galleries… another move. This time, it was to Jerome, Arizona. Working out of his Garage for four years, the perfect space opened up on the ground floor of an old haunted hospital. There, Lonnie built his business and made furniture for thirteen years. A year ago, Lonnie’s shop mate of four years turned a small barn into a fabulous woodworking studio. There, his business now resides, working on commissions and building some pieces of art.
To date, Lonnie’s woodworking has been shown in over 30 magazines, three museums, publications and press releases.

Nutrition Month Information from Safeway:
A Month of Tips for a Healthier Lifestyle
March is National Nutrition Month—a great time to make small, positive changes in your eating and exercise habits. In honor of the month, pick and choose from the 31 ideas below—or try them all!

Crank up Calcium…
1. Make oatmeal and creamy soups with low-fat milk instead of water.
2. Order a 16-ounce fat-free latte and get 45% of the Daily Value for calcium.
3. Munch your calcium—eat dark leafy greens like kale and collard greens.
4. Top salads, chili and soup with low-fat cheese.
5. If you don’t drink milk, try low-fat yogurt, calcium-fortified fruit juice or tofu processed with calcium.
6. Mix fat-free dry milk into mashed potatoes and casseroles.
Add More Veggies and Fruits…
7. To boost nutrients, make a salad with baby spinach instead of iceberg lettuce.
8. Keep sliced, raw veggies in the fridge for an always-ready healthy snack.
9. Toss orange segments, sliced grapes or chopped apples into salads.
10. Slip vegetables into favorites—top pizza with pepper rings, add chopped broccoli to pasta, slide cucumber slices into sandwiches.
11. Roast root veggies like cubed carrots, parsnips and winter squash for an earthy side dish.
12. Blend a frozen banana, low-fat yogurt and OJ for a frigidly good treat.
13. Stir dried cranberries, cherries or apples into hot cereal.
14. Add beans to soup, chili, tacos and stews to boost fiber and add protein.
Focus on Fat…
15. Spread mustard instead of mayo on your sandwiches.
16. Buy at least 95% lean ground beef or ground turkey breast for burgers, tacos and meatloaf.
17. Use low-fat cooking methods: bake, grill, roast or broil meat and poultry.
18. Grease pans with non-stick oil or butter spray.
19. Serve sauces and gravies on the side and use just a little.
20. Hook some omega-3s. Enjoy fatty fish like salmon or tuna at least twice a week.
21. Drizzle just 1 or 2 tablespoons of an oil-based dressing on your salad.
Go for the Grains…
22. Select 100% whole-wheat bread over white bread.
23. Use brown rice instead of white rice or mix “half and half.”
24. Try whole-grain pastas in favorite Italian and noodle dishes.
25. Step outside the box. Try “unusual” grains such as wheat berries, bulgur and quinoa.
Shake Out the Sodium…
26. Skip the salt during cooking—use spices and herbs instead.
27. Buy reduced-sodium or “no salt added” canned beans, soups and vegetables.
28. If you’re used to salty flavors, gradually cut back on higher-sodium foods such as canned soups, pickles and olives. A taste for salt is learned, so you can “adjust” your taste buds to prefer less salty foods.
Get a Move On…
29. Clip on a pedometer (step counter) and track how many steps you take during your daily routine. Gradually build up to 10,000 steps a day—that’s about 5 miles!

Emblem Health President & COO Frank Branchini to serve as Dinner Chair

WHAT: The Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA-NYC) formally launched the National TBI and Emotional Wellness Alliance at their “Bridges to Mental Health: A Celebration of Hope” benefit dinner on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event honored NY Giants Hall of Fame linebacker Harry Carson, creator of the NFL’s “88 Plan” Sylvia Mackey, and youth-sports concussion advocate Sarah Rainey.

ABOUT MHA-NYC:

The Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA-NYC) is a nonprofit organization providing life-saving hotlines, programs and services to both New Yorkers and those across the nation. As a local organization with national impact, our three-part mission of service, advocacy and education influences all we do. Throughout every life stage—from helping children achieve optimal social and emotional development to advocacy for older adults—we are making a difference in the lives of people in need.

About The Honorees:

Harry Carson’s 13-year stint with the New York Football Giants is one of the longest tenures in club history. The indestructible former linebacker served as Team Captain for 10 of his 13 seasons including the 1986 season when the Giants defeated the Denver Broncos 39-20 in Super Bowl XXI. Rated the #1 “Inside Linebacker” in NFL history according to Pro Football Weekly, Carson was named to the All-Rookie Team after his first NFL season. Subsequently, during his NFL career, he was named to the All-NFL Team 7 times, the All-NFC Team 8 times, and NFC Linebacker of the Year twice. He once made an amazing 25 tackles in a Monday Night Football Game against the Green Bay Packers. With performances like that he was selected by his peers to play in the NFC-AFC Pro Bowl 9 times. He is among the top 250 players to ever play professional football with his induction as the 231st member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Carson is the author of 2 books. Point of Attack was published in 1985 by McGraw-Hill, his second more comprehensive book reflecting on his career and life after football Captain for Life was published by St. Martin’s Press in August 2011.

Sylvia Mackey married her husband, Baltimore Colts Hall of Fame tight end John Mackey in 1963. After nine seasons in Baltimore, John played his final season in San Diego with the Chargers. While in retirement, he started to show noticeable signs of cognitive decline. In December 2001, at age 60, John was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia. Sylvia wrote a letter to then-NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue, pleading for a financial assistance for former players like her husband. Her plea turned into the “88 Plan”, named after John’s Baltimore Colts jersey number, which provides financial support to families of NFL players affected by dementia. John Mackey passed away in July 2011. Sylvia, determined to use his memory to affect positive change, has become a leader, raising awareness of dementia and the mental health challenges affecting former athletes. She is dedicated to making a difference in public awareness both nationally and in the Baltimore community. Her willingness to share her story has given a voice to those impacted by younger onset dementia and helped to improve how concussions are treated in both recreational and professional sports throughout the country.

Sarah Rainey is a student-athlete who plays soccer on the nationally-ranked VSA Heat out of Haymarket, VA. Sarah sustained a concussion playing soccer for her high school in 2010. As a result of her injury, Sarah was cognitively and physically impaired for over four months. Sarah made a complete recovery and used her concussion experience to become an advocate for concussion education and management in youth sports and school.

Sarah’s Concussion Advocacy Activities include:

• Congressional Testimony before the Education and Labor Committee

• Testimony before the Virginia Board of Education

• NPR – Interview for national broadcast on concussions

• CDC – Published “Sarah’s Story” on cognitive impacts in school
