• TU B’SHEVAT SHABBAT SEDER: Friday, January 22, 7 PM. We will have a Dramatic Reading, with as many people taking part as wish to read. Please contact Rabbi Jill to volunteer and help us ascend spiritually in a Kabbalistic seder, rising through the four worlds, sipping wine (or juice) and munching on the fruits and nuts of Israel and the USA. A collective body and soul elevating experience!

Upcoming Earth Charter International events in English:

On November 13th, at 11AM UTC/GMT, Earth Charter International is hosting a webinar titled “Climate Change Science, Policy and Ethics: Towards Warsaw and beyond.” The panelists include former Earth Charter Council member and co-Chair Professor Brendan Mackey from Griffith University (Australia) and youth climate leader Juliette Decq (CliMates, France). The Earth Charter Center for Education for Sustainable Development is accepting applications for its January 20th – 24th, 2014 executive programme “Education and Values: Teaching What Really Matters.” This course is intended for educators at all levels and those interested in learning to use the Earth Charter for sustainability education. El 6 de noviembre, el Centro Carta de la Tierra de Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible (Centro CT de EDS) en colaboracion con la Oficina Regional de Educación de la UNESCO para América Latina y el Caribe (OREALC/UNESCO Santiago) y a través de la Cátedra UNESCO de Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible con la Carta de la Tierra, están ofreciendo el tercero de cinco seminarios en línea, que se llama: La Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible en la Educación Primaria y Secundaria. El Centro Carta de la Tierra de Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible todavia está aceptando aplicaciones para su programa ejecutivo: Internalización de Valores y Principios para la Sustentabilidad, a realizarse el 26 a 29 noviembre. El programa es un esfuerzo dirigido a individuos quienes constantemente toman decisiones que influencian a instituciones, empresas, comunidades, y que deseen tener un espacio de reflexión interna sobre las actitudes fundamentales y valores éticos que dirigen sus comportamientos y decisiones.  Este es el primero de dos cursos para obtener la Certificación como Facilitador(a) de la Carta de la Tierra.
