The Bannerman Island Gallery located at 150 Main Street in Beacon, NY is happy to present a Fine Art Holiday Exhibition, opening on Saturday, November 13, 2021. The exhibition will remain on view through Sunday, January 30, 2022. An opening reception for the show will be held on Saturday, November 13th, from 4:00-6:00pm at the gallery.

Paintings, watercolors, prints, photographs, and hanging mixed media works will decorate the walls – while ceramics, sculpture and other artistic gift items will fill out the gallery. Many of the works will be Hudson River Valley themed. Visitors to the gallery can expect to see representational landscapes, florals, interiors and still-life works – as well as other works from the imagination. Functional and whimsical ceramics and other gift items will also be featured.

All works will be for sale and all proceeds from sales will benefit on-going restoration work on historic Bannerman’s Island. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 noon – 5:00pm and most weekday afternoons and early evenings by chance or appointment by calling 845-416-8342.

I am happy to invite you to a Catskill Mountainkeeper benefit dinner on December 7th featuring a talk on the climate crisis by Robert Thurman, renowned author, academic, and expert on Tibetan Buddhism. The evening, hosted by Sarah Johnson and Greg Cornell at their spectacular White Feather Farm in Saugerties, will benefit Mountainkeeper’s work to fight the climate crisis and advance our clean energy future. The evening will start with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and then we’ll sit down for a delicious farm-to-table dinner in the White Feather Farm’s beautiful barn. He will focus on the global political crisis as the devastating impacts of climate change affect our lives more and more each day, and talk about ways we can work together to make ambitious climate action a reality.
