The event will feature the Choir of St. Volodymyr Cathedral, Conductor Nataliya Vashchenko from 160 W 82nd Street in New York performing at the Actors Temple at 339 West 47th Street Historic Ukrainian Benefit on 0321. This event was special as both the Jewish and the Ukrainian Orthodox communities had a common goal to help the people of the Ukraine. GNC will start their April 22 event by broadcasting the beginning of this Historic Event with the singing of the Ukrainian National Anthem and God Bless America. The Benefit Funds will go equally to St.Volodymyr.Church – Help UA and the Actors Temple UJAFED.NewYork.Ukraine.Crisis Fund. The peaceful aid is medical or

This Ukrainian Benefit hits home for the Jewish community, as many Ukrainians are Jewish including the President Zelenskyy , who lost family in the Holocaust. Paul Sladkus, a believer in the Actor’s Temple states. “ The current WAR, instigated by Russia is a sad commentary on humanity in 2022, being involved with Peace Day for over 20 years as a producer, and whose grandparents come from bordering countries to the Ukraine I am very angry that this is happening and praise the Temple for this benefit. I personally am honored as I was able to invite the Choir of St. Volodymyr Cathedral, with Conductor Nataliya Vashchenko and Pastor Rev. Volodymyr Muzychka to attend and sing the Ukrainian National Anthem, the magnificent church is at 160W 82nd Street, New York, NY 10024”

The event will be very interesting, music will be performed by Aron Bederson & Paul Sladkus, the wonderful Rabbi Jill Hausman will welcome the community, Carol Ostrow who is President of the Temple and producer of the event will share thoughts.

Our guest speaker will be Jonathan Wachtel, who is a regular global affairs analyst on BBC, CBS, CNN, Fox, NPR, Al Arabiya, and other national and international news outlets. He began his journalism career in Moscow before the collapse of the Soviet Union. He went on to cover the anti-Gorbachev coup, Yeltsin’s rise to power, independence struggles in Ukraine and the Baltics, and wars in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
