Join Chai Lifeline, supporters, and friends and celebrate 25 Years of Simchas with Chai Lifeline at their Tribute Dinner. About Chai Lifeline:
Twenty-five years ago, a small group of community leaders created a camp for children and teens with cancer that would restore spirits bruised by illness. For a quarter of a century, Chai Lifeline has offered children with life-threatening illnessess or devastating chronic conditions vacations so filled with love, life, and friendship that it can renew a child’s determination to fight disease for another year. Today Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special are two of two-dozen, year-round, free programs and services that bring joy and hope to 4.300 seriously ill children, their families and communities around the world.
Chai Lifeline helps children in hospitals with “playtime” visits, hot meals and snacks, loans of laptop computers and entertainment systems, webcam connections to school and tutoring. And at home, Chai Lifeline’s programs include Big Brothers and Sisters, recreational activities, educational assistance, art and art therapy, counseling, wishathon activities, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special vacations.Chai Lifeline helps families with professional case management and ongoing emotional support, advocacy and information, insurance advocacy and support, couseling, sibling programs, retreats, respite, family days, holiday parties, bereavement services, and financial assistance programs.
