Dear Friends and Members,

We wanted you all to know that, if you have a special friend or know someone who wants to move to the Upper West Side of Manhattan starting on March 1, 2026, we have a home to share as a roommate. Our outstanding professional, Mandarin-and English-speaking roommate, is being transferred, so there is an excellent opportunity for the right, respectful person: a professional or a student, as we have had from Vice Presidents to students from Columbia, Fordham… sometimes for years in our beautiful backyard home.

Since YOU, our Good News Community, are Peace lovers and friends, we wanted to reach out to you directly as we post it today.

Here is our link for the post. Please call or text Paul at 917 687 1790 if you know someone.

Additionally, SUPERMAN, Cristopher Reeve meant a lot to me and the world, so I tribute him humbly in this newsletter along with powerful thoughts by Marc Segelnick.

Take care, ALL, and STAY WARM AND HYDRATED PLEASE, AS WE NEED AND LOVE YOU. Paul and Mother Earth and Peace Team.

When I read the following letter BELOW from Marc, it reminded me of the time in my life when I was Associate Prroducer of the Soap Opera, on CBS TV, LOVE OF LIFE. Christopher Reeves was an actor on our soap, a well respected professional and nice guy…we all loved him. He represented strength, humility and leadership when selected to be the next Superman we were proud and happy for him. Last night, I attended a Jewelry Auction at the fantastic Sothebys in New York, thanks Gene:) it was a great experience and the photo for this post comes from Sothebys of the original Superman Costume that Chris wore.

I believe the words in the following letter sent to me by Marc represent Chris, and Superman…both inspirational people who helped us all do better. Thank you .

From Marc:

From Beast Mode Tuesday – Happy Tuesday !!
Some of us wouldn’t be here without that person.

The one who saw something in us before we saw it ourselves.

The one who didn’t just pat us on the back — they pushed us forward.

The one who looked us in the eye and said, “You’ve got this,” when we weren’t sure if we did.

It might have been a boss who took a chance on you when your résumé was thin and your confidence was thinner.

It might have been a spouse who said, “Go for it,” when you were staring down a career change that made no financial sense at the time.

It might have been a parent who sacrificed so you could have a better shot than they ever did.

It might have been a coach, a teacher, a mentor — someone who cared enough to light your fuse and walk away, trusting you’d figure out how to burn bright.
It also might be G-d who never gives up on us.

And here’s the truth…

Belief is the most valuable currency we’ll ever receive.

It doesn’t show up in your bank account, but it changes the way you walk into the world.

When someone believes in you, it forces you to measure up — not to their expectations, but to the potential they see in you.

It makes you push harder when you want to quit.

It makes you get back up faster when you’ve been knocked down.

It makes you carry yourself differently because you’re not just representing you anymore — you’re carrying the weight of their trust.

It’s about taking a breath and remembering who believed in you before the wins.

It’s about honoring that belief by showing up like a beast every single day, because you refuse to make them regret giving it to you.

So if you can, send that message.

Make the call.

Look them in the eye.

And say it without hesitation:

Thank you for believing in me.

Then, get back out there and prove they were right.

SAY THIS:

“I won’t waste the belief you’ve given me.”

CALL TO ACTION:

Tag the person who believed in you when it mattered most. Tell them what it meant. Then go out this week and make them proud.

But more importantly I believe in you my friend and the impact you will continue to make!

Blessings ;
Marc

As you get outside this spring, have you ever considered how our green spaces contribute to our health? Studies show that green space and landscaping contribute to health, happiness, and intellect.

It’s natural to long for spring when it’s cold outside. But did you know, there’s a good reason why you may pine for green? Living landscapes are an important part of the outdoor lifestyle that Americans enjoy, but the benefits go beyond the barbeque and backyard baseball. Green spaces are necessary for your health.

“The advantages of grass and landscaping surpass the usual physical benefits that result from outdoor activity,” said Kris Kiser, president and CEO, Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI). “Numerous studies have found that people who spend more time outside or are exposed to living landscapes are happier, healthier and smarter. As you get ready to get outside this spring with your lawn mower and other outdoor power equipment, it’s great to know being outside is good for you.”

Researchers have studied the impact of nature on human well-being for years, but recent studies have found a more direct correlation between human health, particularly related to stress, and the importance of people’s access to nature and managed landscapes.

Getting dirty is actually good for you. Soil is the new Prozac, according to Dr. Christopher Lowry, a neuroscientist at the University of Bristol in England. Mycobacterium vaccae in soil mirrors the effect on neurons that Prozac provides. The bacterium stimulates serotonin production, which explains why people who spend time gardening, doing yard work, and have direct contact with soil feel more relaxed and happier.

Children who are raised on farms in a “dirtier” environment than an urban setting not only have a stronger immune system but are also better able to manage social stress, according to the National Academy of Sciences.

Living near living landscapes can improve your mental health. Researchers in England found that people moving to greener areas experienced an immediate improvement in mental health that was sustained for at least three years after they moved. The study also showed that people relocating to a more developed area suffered a drop in mental health.

Greening of vacant urban areas in Philadelphia reduced feelings of depression by 41.5% and reduced poor mental health by 62.8% for those living near the vacant lots, according to a study by a research team.

Green spaces can make you healthier too. People who live within a half mile of green space (such parks, public gardens, and greenways) were found to have a lower incidence of fifteen diseases by Dutch researchers — including depression, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, asthma and migraines.

A 2015 study found that people living on streets with more trees had a boost in heart and metabolic health. Studies show that tasks conducted under the calming influence of nature are performed better and with greater accuracy, yielding a higher quality result. Spending time in gardens, for instance, can improve memory performance and attention span by 20%.

Living landscapes make you smarter. Children gain attention and working memory benefits when they are exposed to greenery, says a study led by Payam Dadvand of the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology in Barcelona, In addition, exposure to natural settings may be widely effective in reducing attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder symptoms in children.

This applies to adults as well. Research has also shown that being around plants helps you concentrate better at home and at work. Charlie Hall, Ellison Chair in International Floriculture believes that spending time in gardens can improve attention span and memory performance by as much as 20 percent.

A National Institute of Health study found that adults demonstrate significant cognitive gains after going on a nature walk. In addition, a Stanford University study found that walking in nature, rather than a concrete-oriented, urban environment, resulted in decreased anxiety, rumination, and negative affect, and produced cognitive benefits, such as increased working memory performance.

Living landscapes help you heal faster. Multiple studies have discovered that plants in hospital recovery rooms or views of aesthetically-pleasing gardens help patients heal up to one day faster than those who are in more sterile or austere environments.

Physicians are now prescribing time outdoors for some patients, according to recent reports. Park Rx America is a non-profit with a mission to encourage physicians to prescribe doses of nature.

All of these benefits reinforce the importance of maintaining our yards, parks and other community green spaces. Trees, shrubs, grass, and flowering plants are integral to human health. Not only do they provide a place for kids and pets to play, they directly contribute to our mental and physical well-being.

A Million Ways That Lemons Can Save Your Life
Spread the Word to Friends And Family. Some say it will build your imune system which is crucial durning our Coronavirus Concerns.

America has known about lemons since at least the 16th century, when Christopher Columbus brought them to what is now Florida. Lemons (and limes) were very valuable at the time for the protection they offered against scurvy. During the Gold Rush in California, lemons were so popular and in such unbelievably high demand that people were willing to pay the unheard price of $1 each. This would be expensive even for today, but imagine that in the 1800’s!

Although high levels of vitamin C and alkalizing effects on the body are no doubt among the great reasons to always keep lemons around (or to plant your own tree) these sour fruits have a type of antioxidant known as flavonoids that can fight inflammation, heart disease, and cancer, according to the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

The Ancient Egyptians thought that drinking the juice or eating lemons would protect you from poison. Although there are many health benefits to lemons and their juice, protection from poison might not be one of them, but they will certainly help to protect you from disease and infection, which can save your life. They are also powerful cleaning and beauty agents, which are almost as important, right?!

Well, although we might not have quite a million things listed here, it might seem like it. This list contains valuable information about how you can use lemons for your health, for cleaning, for beauty treatments, and more!

Keep reading to find out just how valuable lemons actually are and why people would pay a buck a piece for one!

Sue then got hired in New York City to anchor Live at 5 with Jack Cafferty; doing interviews with celebrities and paving the way for entertainment shows of the present. Her partnership with Cafferty lasted almost twelve years.
She was also paired with Chuck Scarborough to anchor the 11pm newscast. Chuck and Sue (as they were known in New York) were together for 32 years, the longest running anchor team in New York television history! Sue worked at WNBC-TV for 32 years until June of 2012.

Simmons’s final broadcast was on June 15, 2012. During that program, show biz entertainers, sports figures and longtime co-workers appeared with fun farewells. She’s fondly remembered for her on-air impression of a groundhog. It became a tradition!

After her run at WNBC, Simmons made cameo appearances on various TV shows – Law & Order, 30 Rock, and Elementary. She even appeared in a few movies: The First Wives Club, Set It Off, and Exiled: A Law & Order movie.

She also has received major awards for her service from the Girl Scouts of Western New York, Rotary Club, the National Conference for Community and Justice, and other organizations.
