Thousands of Artists from the World of Contemporary Art Compete for the Top 100 in Painting and Calligraphy

This is the horn of advancement for the world’s cultural and artistic community in the 2022 World Arts and Calligraphy Competition! To promote cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the United States, to promote the intangible cultural

The competition provides a platform and services to promote cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the United States, to promote the protection and development of intangible culture by the UNESCO Development Foundation, to promote Chinese painting and calligraphy artists on the highest stage of the World Intangible Cultural Masterpieces, to select and judge the “World Intangible Cultural Masterpieces – Outstanding Painting and Calligraphy Artists” and “Outstanding Contribution” artists, and to promote world peace through art. In order to promote world peace through art and enhance the competitiveness of Chinese painting and calligraphy in the world, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Arts Council, in collaboration with the Global Artists Alliance, the American Calligraphy and Art Research Institute, the Concordia Foundation/ Concordia Villa, Hunan Half Acre Pond Cultural Media Co. The 2022 World Contemporary Art Awards, jointly organized by more than 60 art organizations and societies, opened on December 6, 2022, in New York, the world’s cultural and artistic capital.

After the solemn playing of the Chinese and American national anthems, six beautiful male and female hosts made an appearance and introduced the more than 300 guests who were present at the event.

The event received a congratulatory letter from the Chinese Consulate General in New York.

Congressman Meng Zhaowen and State Assemblyman Kim Yu-Tseok presented certificates to the organizers of the event and to those who have contributed to the prosperity of the community’s cultural activities.

Mr. Zhang Lifu, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the World Photography and Art Contest, delivered the opening speech, thanking the governments of China and the United States, the organizers and co-organizers, and the community for their care and support. He thanked the governments of China and the United States, the organizers and all sectors of society for their care and support. Mr. Li Fu emphasized that on the basis of the exchange of calligraphy and painting, we will continue to make contributions to promote peace and health through art, and to enhance the friendship and exchange between China and the United States!

The meeting pointed out that after more than half a year of preparation work and more than ten times of “Call for Papers”, the Grand Prize Competition

The competition has collected more than 200 artists from the United States, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Canada and Kuwait with different styles.

More than 100 outstanding artworks were selected to compete for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

In order to conduct an open and fair evaluation of the standard of the works submitted, the organizer organized the organizing committee, judging committee, jury, and publicity committee of the 2022 WAF Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prix with more than 30 members, and held a preview exhibition of more than 200 works of calligraphy and painting at the World Culture and Arts Center, the 15,000-square-foot office exhibition hall of the WAF.
