Eleven to be Inducted into New York Chapter’s Gold & Silver Circle

New York, NY, November 12, 2019 – The Board of Governors of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter is pleased to announce the induction of eleven talented individuals into the prestigious Gold & Silver Circles. The Gold & Silver Circles are comprised of an elite group of professionals who have made significant contributions to New York television. The Silver Circle recognizes individuals who have devoted a quarter of a century or more to the television industry. The Gold Circle honors those legends whose contributions span fifty years or more.

The Gold & Silver Circles are societies of honor. Their members represent the passion, creativity and dedication that are the hallmarks of excellence in this industry. We congratulate them on their successes, and for the lasting mark they have made on the broadcasting community. The honorees represent those media professionals working in either a performing, creative, technical, administrative, or journalistic role within the industry, including executive, writing, or production. 2019 marks our fourth Gold Circle event. Previous Gold Circle inductees include Maury Povich, Diane Sawyer, Marvin Scott and Chuck Scarborough.

Since 1992, the New York Chapter has honored distinguished television broadcasters with Silver Circle induction, including Walter Cronkite, Jerry Orbach, Rafael Pineda, Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, John Roland, Jackie Robinson, Sue Simmons and Susan Lucci. This year, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter will induct the following accomplished professionals:

She has been the live announcer of The Screen Actors Guild Awards for the past four years, the co-live announcer of The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards for the past two years, the live announcer of the NY Emmy Awards for the past 9 years, and many more. She’s voiced commercials for companies such as McDonalds and Toyota, as well as many political spots. She’s worked with affiliate TV & radio stations across the country and can be heard as the imaging voice for Jonathan Schwartz’ “The Jonathan Channel” on WNYC in New York.

· All performances will be in The Duke Theatre on 42nd Street and Broadway, NYC’s premier Off Broadway space in the heart of Times Square.
