For anyone who knows history, some place Russia hit yesterday is Kyiv, a special piece of Europe. It is a place of prayer where the old Kyiv cemeteries commemorate the 100,000 people killed by the Nazis. What kind of person do we have to be to make such a place a target for missiles? You are killing Holocaust victims for the 2nd time. In Soviet times, they built a television center, a sports complex, a park on the bones of the victims of the genocide. To erase the true history of Babi Yar. But why was it bombed? This is inhumane. Now I call to all the Jews of the world: Do you not see what is happening? millions around the world

It is very important that the Jew does not remain silent now. Nazism is born in silence. So what is the result for Russia? The flag of this state will no longer be seen at sports tournaments. HRH Prince Frederick von Saxe-Lauenberg’s family is literally related to every Royal Family in Europe, and he shares a common ancestor with Queen Elizabeth II in King Henry II.

Frederick who lives for part of the year in The Netherlands and also has a UK base in Cheshire – has been involved in peace activism since the early 1980’s, and is the Founder and President of Children of the World 2000, a not for profit organisation supported by the International Peace Bureau and UNESCO.

He is patron of several NGOs including the Earth Focus Foundation in Switzerland, the Lady Geertruide School Project in Haiti and the World Peace Gardens Network.

After leaving university the prince joined the family firm, an import-export business, and was also involved in publishing, travel writing and photography. His present work is as a World Peace Emissary and he is a Fellow of the International Institute of Peace Studies & Global Philosophy.

We met with the prince at the UN General Assembly in the Fall of 2002 together with Dame Jane Goodall a UN Messenger for Peace and Founder of the Jane Goodall and Roots n’ Shoots initiative.

Introducing: CHILD SPARK INITIATIVE

Child Spark Initiative is a platform created for children between the ages of eight and thirteen years from African migrant communities to engage with children from host communities in the United States of America. It provides opportunities for these communities to express, foster and celebrate their shared humanity. The hope of this interaction is racial harmony, cultural exchange, peace and progress.

Child Spark Initiative Inc. is essentially a performing arts organization that develops, promotes and celebrates creativity in children. Its first major project is Child Spark Choir which features fifty-four children, symbolically representing the fifty-four countries in Africa. In addition to screenings and select performances in cities with largest African migrant populations, this choir will sing with children from other countries, especially from continental Africa, the Caribbean Islands and Europe. The choir will also engage the services of prominent celebrity vocalists and music icons to perform new songs with positive and uplifting messages based on themes of love, kindness, charity and peace.

Child Spark Choir is not a standing choir. It is designed to create opportunity for different groups of people and individuals to participate every other year. Besides, the entire process will be filmed to produce a TV documentary mini-series for audiences on television and the internet. Original songs will be produced and performed with some revenue generated from sponsorships, merchandizing, donations, ticket sales and online-downloads. This revenue will enable Child Spark Initiative meet a major objective of providing financial, material and moral support for disadvantaged children in Africa and much of the developing world in their struggle against poverty, diseases, disabilities and hunger.

Child Spark Initiative is also collaborating with Teewai-Gold Media to produce the first edition of its “SHARE-A-SMILE PHOTO CONTEST”. Over one thousand entrants are expected to participate in this contest. The winning prize for the contest is a 10-Week Digital Photography Course at the prestigious International Center for Photography in New York. Other prizes include cameras, laptops, books and other branded gifts. The best photographs will be featured in a special coffee table publication and exhibitions to raise awareness and support for the project.

Miss Fanny Tang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weixing Tang will make her debut at The 60th International Debutante Ball on Monday, December 29th, 2014, in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Fanny attends the University of Lausanne’s Faculty of Biology and Medicine in Switzerland. She plays the piano, and loves music, writing, art and sports.

Miss Fanny Tang’s father, Weixing Tang, is the President of the China Sales Group LTD. Her mother, Honglin Zhang, is the President of CAASC Europe.
For her debut, Miss Fanny Tang has chose to wear a strapless gown designed by Guo Pei, one of the most renowned designers in China. The dress features gold accents, including golden flowers embellished with Swarovski crystals.
The International Debutante Ball, founded in 1954, is considered one of the most prestigious debutante presentations. Forty-six women of distinction from the United States and abroad made their bows to society at the 60th Anniversary of the International Debutante Ball. The debutantes represented Austria, China, England, Hong Kong, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and twelve American states. Each debutante was accompanied by her own escort in white tie and tails, and a military cadet who carried the flag of the country or state which she represented. This year there were five sets of sisters.

Sponsored by Piaget, and The Muriel McBrien Kauffman Foundation the Ball benefits go to The International Debutante Ball Foundation which supports numerous charities. The primary charity is The Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club, a home away from home for the military and their families. Partial support will go to the American Ballet Theater, Friends of Versailles and the American Theater Wing among others.

The ball was founded in 1954 by Beatrice Dinsmore Joyce as a charity and the tradition continues today directed by her niece, Mrs. Gregory Scott Hedberg, Director and General Chairman. Philae (/ˈfaɪli/ or /ˈfiːleɪ/) is a robotic European Space Agency lander that accompanied the Rosetta spacecraft until its designated landing on Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko (67P), more than ten years after departing Earth. On 12 November 2014, the lander achieved the first-ever controlled touchdown on a comet nucleus. Its instruments are expected to obtain the first images from a comet’s surface and make the first in situ analysis to determine its composition. Philae is tracked and operated from the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) at Darmstadt, Germany.

The lander is named after Philae Island in the Nile, where an obelisk was found and used, along with the Rosetta Stone, to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics.

It was a learning experience to immerse ourselves into the arrangements, like taking a lesson from the masters.” Human Nature Sings Motown, a special telecast of the group’s Las Vegas state show filmed by longtime Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich, will be at the center of PBS’ fund-raising efforts in December, featuring an appearance by Smokey Robinson. Ehrlich enthused about working with the band: “When you hear their versions of the great Motown classics, you’re not only reminded of the greatness of the originals, but you hear nuances that bring those originals up to date without tarnishing them in the least.” A DVD version of the show includes 40 minutes of bonus content featuring the band discussing Motown’s enduring influence with the label’s legendary songwriters Lamont Dozier, Eddie and Brian Holland, all of whom have given their blessings to Human Nature, as well as more than 20 minutes of performances not shown in the original broadcast. Both CD and DVD are exclusive to PBS subscribers through December before being available at retailers in March 2012. Smokey Robinson, who has nurtured the band and is actively working with them to reinvigorate the Motown brand, says: “The members of Human Nature are extraordinary vocalists who truly now how to entertain and I knew that they would be hugely successful….” “He’s such a big supporter and it’s just fantastic to have him give his stamp of approval for our take on his music,” says Michael about the legendary performer/songwriter/ producer. Adds Andrew: “Every time we do something with Smokey, we’re constantly reminded of how lucky we are to have him as a good friend and mentor. It’s been a career-changer for us.” “I’m still pinching myself,” admits Toby. “Smokey has no need to get involved with something like this if he doesn’t want to. He obviously loves the music, and that’s the greatest satisfaction for us.” “We were always concerned with what guys like Smokey, Lamont Dozier and the Hollands were going to think, but we’re doing this out of a pure love for the music,” adds Phil. “We’re going back to our roots, the songs we’ve been performing since we first started.” And now it’s time for Human Nature to conquer America with its own music. “It was a huge gamble,” reveals Andrew about their decision to come over for a two-week stint at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, where they saw first-hand that their Motown show connected with stateside audiences. “Why should people listen to four white Australians sing these songs when they’re ubiquitous on radio and TV? It just shows that this music is written for everybody, and that it has reached to every corner of the globe, including Australia.
