Orphans International Worldwide, Inc. began in 1999 with the support of child
psychologist Frances Dudley Alleman-Luce who died in 2001. Affiliated with the U.N.,
OIWW built facilities for children after the Tsunami of 2004 in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, and
after hurricanes and earthquake in Haiti beginning in 2002. Today, we support our
graduates studying in university and fund preexisting institutions such as orphans in India
and Sri Lanka. Mangala Weerasekera, senior photojournalist of the Sunday Times of Sri
Lanka, will document this auspicious summer fundraiser!

In 2010, Jada and Will gave up their birthdays for charity: water and asked their fans to join them. More than 4,000 people entered their birthday contest, and together they raised $789,000.
We sent 100% of the money to fund water project costs in the field.

Last week, Jada and Will took the top fundraisers from their contest with them to Ethiopia to see how their hard work changed the lives of the people living here.
