]]> Every two minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. How far would you go to help someone struggling with breast cancer? Would you consider quitting your full-time job to start a nonprofit foundation, hosting comedy parties as fund raisers or establishing mobile mammogram units to service underinsured women? These are examples of some of the amazing things the 2007 Yoplait Champions accomplished to help give strength and support to those struggling with the disease. Yoplait, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and SELF magazine are announcing the 2007 Yoplait Champions, 25 ordinary women and men doing extraordinary things in their local communities to help in the fight against breast cancer. The Champions hail from 18 different states and have various ties to the cause including being breast cancer survivors, advocates, as well as husbands, mothers, daughters and friends of those touched by the disease. Martha Miller, editor of Beyond magazine, talks about the Champions, their fight against breast cancer what people can do to help anyone struggling against the disease. Beyond magazine debuted last fall and is the first newsstand magazine for survivors managing the day-to-day impact of having experienced and survived a dreaded disease. Their lives are different now and they want to thrive. The magazine provides women the latest breast cancer and health information, as well as honest, inspiring stories.
