Serena Williams Celebrates Her Cover of Niche Media’s Hamptons Magazine

The queen of the tennis court, Serena Williams, celebrated her cover of Niche Media’s Hamptons Magazine with GREY GOOSE Vodka and Russell Simmons’ Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) at Pranna on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Tastemakers and power players joined Williams, Simmons, Niche Media’s Jason Binn,Samantha Yanks, Debra Halpert, and former Mayor Dinkins as they raised awareness for DEF while celebrating the Summer Cover.

Hamptons Magazine guests served up and toasted to the tennis champion with specialty libations courtesy of GREY GOOSE. Featuring the Official Cocktail of the US Open as well as two brand new cocktails crafted by Pranna Mixologists, debut at the celebration and are available for the rest of the summer season exclusively to Pranna Patrons.

A very gracious Simmons introduced his friend Serena Williams to the crowd after a mobbed red carpet where both Williams and Simmons posed for photos and gave interviews. Simmons described the many charities Williams is involved with to help those in need in the US and in Africa. Simmons himself is involved in many charitable organizations such as Art For Life and DEF.
