BIO:
Dr. Karsh earned his MD from The Chicago Medical School. He completed his General Surgical training at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and his Urology Residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Karsh was a co-founder of The Urology Center of Colorado which was recently acquired by Advent Health Urology Denver where he serves as an attending Urologist and Director of Research. He is a certified principal investigator with an experience of more than 275 clinical trials. Dr. Karsh has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial boards for “Bladder Cancer.” He is an active member of the AUA, , ASCO, BCAN, SUO,SWOG and the Denver Academy of Surgeons. Dr. Karsh served on the board of SUO from 2010-2020 and served on the bladder cancer subcommittee during that time.

He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1986. He finished his internal medicine residency there in 1990, spending an additional year as the chief resident. He then did a fellowship specializing in cardiovascular disease at Columbia University, where he was chosen as chief fellow in his final year.

He specializes in primary prevention, valvular disease, consultative cardiology, echocardiography and non invasive testing.

His office at 903 Park Avenue in Manhattan has old world charm, but utilizes the most cutting edge technology to assist in cardiac diagnosis. He has another office adjacent to Columbia University Medical Center, the hospital he is affiliated with.

He has been featured in several videos that are available online. One was done for the Joy of Giving Something foundation. He is also featured on two videos made by Scientific American about heart arrhythmias and heart monitors that are available on their website.
