Fats Waller’s Rhythm, by ballerina turned choreographer Morgan McEwen, takes on the music of legendary Harlem stride pianist and composer, Fats Waller. MorDance, with dancers from some of the world’s most prestigious companies, is joined by bassist/composer Benjamin Gallina and six of New York’s top jazz musicians for an evening of explosive live music and dance.

MORDANCE’s residency at City College Center for the Arts is part of the CUNY Dance Initiative, which receives major support from the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, the Howard Gilman Foundation, and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Additional support is provided by the Jerome Robbins Foundation, the Fan Fox and Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, and the Harkness Foundation for Dance.
