But as we move forward, we must also look back. Just one year ago, we were moving into our first office. Now, one year later, we have two offices, three full time employees, four consultants, an intern staff and a team of over 200 volunteers. And we are growing quickly, all thanks to your help.

Our 2009 report, now available online, demonstrates just how much change we can make in one year. Please take a moment to look back with us as we all move forward together.

And on the subject of growth, this past week we celebrated Tu B’shvat, the Jewish Arbor Day, the New Year for the Trees. Farming has always been important to the Jewish people, and today, Israel is a leader in the field of agricultural innovation. Jewish Heart for Africa celebrates this growth year round through our second initiative, Project Agro. Using the same technologies that made Israel’s desert bloom, we provide African farmers with the tools they need to grow more crops, prevent starvation and promote economic growth.
