We just returned from Singapore for a Web3 conference, where I spoke. Jude Elie was born in Les Cayes, a province in the south of Haiti, on October 27, 1970. He began his primary education with the Odyle Joseph Brothers (FIC) in Les Cayes. Then, continued his secondary studies with the Salesian Brothers of Don Bosco, in Pétion-Ville. Jude Elie completed his classical studies in 1988 and obtained his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of G.O.C in Haiti.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Taps Celebs, Media for #UglySweaterforBetter Social Media Charity Challenge
Don your best ugly sweater to look good and do good.
The social media phenomenon that’s sweeping the nation this holiday season is #UglySweaterforBetter. Celebrities like Adam Levine and former Charlie’s Angel, Jaclyn Smith, along with countless companies, anchors and weathermen will be posting pics with ugly sweaters to trigger a $1 donation from Kmart to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Over the past 12 years, thanks to the generosity of Kmart shoppers and associates, the retailer has shattered donation records – contributing more than $105 million to St. Jude, more than any corporate partner in the history of the hospital.
During a live interview from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, the President of the St. Jude fundraising organization ALSAC, the CMO of Kmart and a St. Jude patient will discuss:
• How to participate online in #UglySweaterforBetter – Kmart will donate $1 for posts including the hashtag and an ugly sweater.

Child Actor Max Page’s Mom, a Cardiologist & St. Jude Medical to Explain the Challenges Facing Families with Congenital Heart Problems
A new initiative by the non-profit Mended Little Hearts and St. Jude Medical will offer an important new resource for parents who need answers—and it’s being headlined by none other than the mother of “Little Darth Vader,” Jennifer Page. You may know her son Max from his appearances on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless” and from his well-known role as little Darth Vader in a Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial that has become a classic. Max was born with a congenital heart defect and received a St. Jude Medical pacemaker when he was 3 months old. At age 7, the child-actor had to have open-heart surgery because of his condition. The surgery replaced his pulmonary valve and repaired a hole in his heart. The valve should last another 10-15 years before it has to be replaced with noninvasive surgery. Now Jennifer is reaching out to other parents with the information they need.
In many cases, these kinds of problems in children aren’t properly diagnosed until it’s too late, as in the tragic cases you may have heard about high school athletes dying suddenly on the basketball court or football or soccer field. The new initiative will spread awareness with online resources from Mended Little Hearts and St. Jude Medical.
Page will provide the parent’s perspective and will be joined by a leading cardiologist and pediatric cardiac surgeon, Dr. David A. Ferry, on staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In addition to doing heart surgery procedures at Children’s, Dr. Ferry is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Jennifer and Dr. Ferry will provide background on the new online resource, as well as information on how your viewers can learn more. The mission of Mended Little Hearts is to empower families with support and education about congenital heart disease. St Jude Medical, Inc. is a worldwide leader in research and development with products to treat congenital heart disease.

The Peace One Day concert marks the last major event of the London 2012 Festival as well as Elton John’s only gig in the buzzing capital city: undisputedly the global hub of the year. Alongside performances by the BRIT award-winning James Morrison and internet sensations 2Cellos, there will be contributions from Peace One Day ambassador Jude Law and the organisation’s founder, Carnegie Wateler Peace prize-winner, Jeremy Gilley. The show is set to be the biggest event of Peace One Day’s groundbreaking 13-year history.

The non-profit organisation, which in 2001 led a process that resulted in the unanimous adoption by UN member states of the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence, works to institutionalise the idea of ‘Peace One Day’ on 21 September each year.

The Wembley Arena show, which will be filmed in HD and broadcast internationally, is the final in a trilogy of Peace One Dayconcerts produced as part of the London 2012 Festival, the spectacular nationwide celebration giving the opportunity for people across the UK to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The second show in Derry-Londonderry on Thursday 21st June 2012 was the opening event of the London 2012 Festival in Northern Ireland and marked the three-month countdown to Peace Day 2012. The Wembley Arena show will handover to the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, whilst culminating this year’s Olympic Truce, as well as celebrating the Global Truce of Peace Day 2012.

Elton John said, “When Jeremy and Jude came to see me and told me about Peace One Day and the Global Truce 2012 campaign I had to get involved and support them. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the 21st September at Wembley Arena and thrilled that James is joining us for this wonderful event!”

James Morrison said, “I’m really pleased to be performing once again for Peace One Day and fantastic to be working with Elton for this great cause”.

Jude Law, who is producing the concert with Gilley said, “I’ve been involved with Peace One Day for such a long time, and it’s thrilling that Elton, James Morrison and 2Cellos are performing at the Peace One Day Celebration on 21 September this year. It’ll be a wonderful event”
