Some say the metaverse is a virtual world. Some say the metaverse is a blockchain. Some say the metaverse is an algorithm ……
It’s all a phenomenon. What is the essence?

Today in the courtyard of Prof. Li Jianjun’s home in ergonomics, the California sun shines, the birds sing, the pool is sparkling, and heaven and earth are in harmony. Several partners produced a collision of thoughts in a smooth conversation with their skills. A professor with great wisdom, an Iranian prince, a mathematician, a life water development team, a Hollywood producer, and the founder of the American University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, chatting about the meta-universe. Thanks to this wonderful day, I wrote this reflection on the meta-universe like a fountain of thought.

How did the metaverse come into being? Virtual space is the vehicle of expression, technology is just a tool, and the purpose is to allow people to experience a new sense of a more multidimensional world. What is the essence?
In general research, there is a consensus that the “metaverse” is a new type of Internet application and social form that integrates multiple new technologies.

The metaverse has existed for a long time, but the term “metaverse” has only recently become popular. In the 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash, human beings live in a three-dimensional virtual world through “Avatar” (digital avatar), which the author called “Metaverse”, or “metaverse”. With the epidemic isolation, remote social networking, virtual reality, other lifestyle changes, and rapid technology development, even Facebook caught the pulse of the times and changed its name to Metaverse. The world has to start paying attention.

In Chinese, “Yu” is space, “Zu” is time. The universe is composed of time and space. The world we live in is three-dimensional space plus time, that is, four dimensions. Moreover, the meta-universe has broken through the four dimensions. In the original universe, each person has a small world, and each person’s small world can be linked together without the limitation of time and space. Humans create the “metaverse”, but humans do not create it. It is also a cosmic train driven by human technology, human civilization, earth’s nurture, the laws of the universe, and even unknown forces. We are coming infinitely closer to the universe, to an infinitely expanding universe.

The universe is called the universe because of its great dimensionality, its breadth of inclusion, its infinite information, and the fact that it contains everything. The meta-universe is called the universe because it contains human beings’ life and spiritual carriers. In the spiritual world of human beings, they can travel to outer space. They can travel through time and space. They can travel to parallel universes …… Everything is possible. In other words, the meta-universe is where the unlimited potential of human beings is developed.

In this metaverse era, everyone is a creator, driver, and innovator, and everyone is building the content and meaning of the metaverse. The meta-universe is a new universe in the human dictionary, but it is not a universe created out of thin air but a spiritual world created by the masses throughout human civilization and wisdom.

Freud believed that dreams express man’s unfulfilled desires, and the meta-universe is the booster of dreams. The torrent of the times will wash away the way you dream.

In the meta-universe, you can lie on the sofa and lead a thousand armies to fight; you can view your dream lover is deep in love with you; you can lie in a hospital bed and ride a motorcycle and police race; you can occupy the land and money in a rented house that makes you rich; you can take potato chips and put on VR eyes to view yourself eating an entire banquet. People can travel to the ends of the earth without leaving home, to experience all kinds of things on earth.

Technology has pushed the way and convenience of human life, but technology is only a tool. Numerous technology companies have taken advantage of the winds of the meta-universe to fly into the sky and make a fortune. So what is the next wave?

Let’s imagine the future of the metaverse again, like a city where no one is visible, but people exist, in the form of information, everywhere. All people’s minds, life experiences, crystallized wisdom, and knowledge base, can be stored in the cloud and everything becomes transparent. The speed of information transfer, the change to rapidity, and the authenticity of the experience make all countries, cultures, religions, ethnicities, and people groups on the planet, no longer separated. The idea of money first is slowly being eliminated, and the prosperity of the spiritual world becomes the new wind of the future. Whoever can lead the spiritual world will hold the future. Furthermore, in the spiritual world, whoever can master the ultimate law of the universe can dominate the universe.

Some people say the spiritual world is firewood. Some say the spiritual world is trying to get money, some say the spiritual world is dream imagination, some say the spiritual world is communicating with ghosts and gods, and some say the spiritual world is saving the world. It’s like the blind man feeling the elephant, and in the end ,feeling the whole picture pieced together – everyone sees the original face of the elephant, from the smallest to the collective subconscious of humankind, to the collective subconscious of the universe. The meta-universe is still just a fragment, and you and I are all cutters.

People have gone so far in the earthly world that they almost forget that our spirit can be as bright as the stars, our potential can be as constant as the sun, our senses can be aware of everything in heaven and earth, we can penetrate the past, present and future, and we can travel through space at will. Human beings were originally one, human beings and the earth were initially in harmony, and human beings and the universe were so close that everything is in the meta-universe. The meta-universe does not belong to human beings, but human beings see a silhouette of the universe from the meta-universe.

The metaverse is the ultimate point of life experience pursued by human beings, and the spirit is in search of the origin of the universe’s wisdom.
We hope that in the era of the metaverse, no one will be hungry, no one will not be misunderstood, no one will be deceitful, everyone will help each other, share, win together, and advance towards a higher civilization.

How big can this universe be? None of us knows …… However, we are creating it together.

Now, you don’t have to travel that far. In fact, while you’re in New York City you can catch up with the best in Chinese culture, along with classic Western. It happens annually at an event known as the Chinese New Year Spectacular.

This is the Year of the Rat, and to ring in the New Year, the sixth annual Spectacular will be unveiled next Friday, Feb. 7, at…are you ready?….Carnegie Hall. Yes, the repository of the best of music. The New Year show will be starting at 7:30 P.M. with a combination of classic Chinese drama, good old-fashioned ballet, a Beethoven selection, opera, and lively American music.

It has come about under the aegis of Harvard Wealth Strategy & Management, LLC, along with Premier Event Management Inc., whose president, Charles Sullivan, has been on a mission to have the two cultures get to know each other better.

One of his favorite descriptions of things he likes is “grand and glorious,” and perhaps he also has this show in mind.

His co-producer is the internationally renowned Lili Li. Sullivan describes her importance in the project as similar to what “Bill Belichick has played in the success of the Patriots.” She has organized the talent in America and China, and has been instrumental in bringing together influential people from both countries.

I wondered what the “Konqu” performers were, and what the drama they were creating in front of me meant.

You feel you are looking at an ancient Chinese print. The two principals in this show spend more than two hours putting on makeup and elaborate costumes. The name “Konqu,” or “Konju” comes from the area of Kunshan, perhaps as early as the 17th Century. And there, in front of you, a world appears in which these two stylized figures recite poetry, sing, and dance. You are transported to another world.

And then there are the more familiar acts: An intriguing violinist named Deni Bonet, along with a guitarist and pianist, struts around the stage in lively renditions of her own and others’ songs. You might have seen her on Saturday Night Live, or perhaps with Cyndi Lauper or at many other major venues.

Unlike most violinists, she is not nailed to the floor. And she doesn’t shy away from going head-to-head with the guitar player, having fun and breaking an erstwhile-stodgy image of the grand old instrument.

On a classical note, Quan Chen, an operatic soprano, takes over the stage with her presence and her voice. She holds a pair of master’s degrees—one earned not far from Carnegie Hall, at the Manhattan School of Music.

She loves bringing the Western canon to China, and says that, while the audiences there may not be familiar with the music, it tends to bring East and West together.

That is an event echoed by the the spectacular classical pianist Cong Bi, who earned the Steinway Award in 2019. He speaks of his love for Beethoven, and it shows in his nimble performance.
