Chetachi Nwoga-Ecton is the President of When in Need Foundation (WIN). WIN was born out of Chetachi’s lifelong virtues of selflessness and compassion for the powerless, needy, defenseless, and downtrodden and people with limited opportunities. These virtues are typified in the other organizations which she is associated with. Prior to establishing When in Need, she founded a blossoming healthcare agency providing compassionate services to intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals in Philadelphia, PA. These virtues were further strengthened as she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Postgraduate diploma from Widener University, where she majored in Social Work.

As Chief Executive Officer of When In Need foundation, she brings her tenacity, inspiration, relentlessness and knack for excellence to ensure that the organization achieves its set goals. When in Need Foundation (WIN) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides grants for students and young professionals to continue their education and career in addition to supporting schools, orphanages and various hostels assisting less fortunate globally. The Mission of Mercy (M.O.M) is a global outreach program of When In Need Foundation, with the purpose and mission of assisting individuals in need with basic amenities, food, supplies, medical, healthcare, and educational resources globally. The program has positively impacted hundreds of people in Nigeria, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Rep., Chile, Argentina to mention a few.

Chetachi Nwoga-Ecton is also the President & CEO of ChiBase Production Company, a “one-stop” entertainment platform offering licensing, joint ventures, distribution, marketing, touring and management services for artists.

Her other interests are in entertainment such as film, licensing, theatre, publishing, music. Ms. Nwoga Ecton received the 2011 Entrepreneurship Award from the African & Caribbean Business Council, tristate Chamber of Commerce and a City of Philadelphia citation for her achievements.

She was presented the 2014 Nigeria Centenary Award as one of the 100 most influential Nigerians in the United States during the country’s celebration of 100 years of existence. She received a 2015 Philanthropy Award from Our World Media magazine and has been featured in different local and international news.

Dr. George C. Onuorah is the Co-Founder and Publisher of Our World Media Magazine, LLC and the author of “The Political Diary of a Rising Son”. His book details and provides insight into African and American politics. George like British Politician Sir Winston Churchill agrees that “The price of greatness is responsibility.” Hence embraces the vision, passion and compassion to make a difference in our world by helping others.

George is the recipient of numerous awards notably three United States Congressional Awards and Proclamations among others. In August 2007, was chosen as “Star of Queens” by the Queens Courier Newspapers in New York City. George holds a BA in Political Science (1986) from York College of The City University of New York and Associates in Mass Communication.

George has worked for an Elected Representative in his district in New York City as well as served his Community Board where he rose to become Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Committee. Also served in the Neighborhood Advisory Board and currently a member of the Corona Lion’s Club.

It all started with Rabbi Dov Behr

The B. Manischewitz Company, LLC traces its beginnings back to the spring of 1888, when Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz opened a small Matzo bakery in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A humble beginning

It was largely from his spiritual concerns that he set out to make matzo or unleavened bread for Passover, first for his family and a few friends, but soon for many of the devout Jews of the city. His bakery soon evolved into a successful business, innovative and prosperous––though never inattentive to the spiritual needs of its customers.

From small bakery to booming business

By the end of the century, demand for his matzo had become so great that Rabbi Manischewitz turned to the use of gas-fired ovens, replacing the older coal stoves being used by other Jewish bakers. The newer ovens allowed for much more careful control of the baking speed, insuring a consistent and standard quality to the matzos.
He also introduced portable traveling-tunnel ovens, and was the first to package his matzos for shipment to places beyond the immediate neighborhood of his bakery. He even began shipping his matzos overseas, to such diverse places as England, Japan, France, Hungary, Egypt and New Zealand. His bright, clean bakery would become a model for future kosher bakeries, both in America and abroad.

Matzo on the move

In 1932, the company built a second factory. Located in Jersey City, New Jersey, the plant quickly became the model for all new machine-made matzo bakeries worldwide. Closer to a much larger Jewish population than that of Cincinnati, the new factory also made distribution of the company’s product more efficient and quickly enlarged its customer base. The Manischewitz label was soon dominant in ethnic grocery stores and delicatessens in the larger East Coast cities. Thanks to the technology and efficiency of the New Jersey factory, Manischewitz was able to close down the Cincinnati facility altogether.

Same quality, more quantity

In 1940, Manischewitz produced its first Tam Tam cracker. It signaled the initial departure from its line of matzo products. About the same time, in a licensing arrangement, Manischewitz wines began to be sold throughout the country.
In 1954, the company purchased a processing plant located in Vineland, New Jersey. The Vineland facility, which has now ceased operations, manufactured all of the company’s canned and jarred products, including old familiar favorites like gefilte fish, chicken soup and borscht. The plant was primarily a hand-pack processing operation stressing careful attention to quality and flexibility. Workers there packed about 2,000,000 lbs. of fish and 1,000,000 lbs. of beets each year.

More than two million chocolate-lovers visit this summer, the highest attendance ever for the world’s most visited consumer brand experience

At age 40, Hershey’s® Chocolate World® Attraction shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, the world’s most visited brand experience recorded its best summer season in its history this year and the original location in Hershey, Pa., hosted more than two million visitors from all over the world. The experiential marketing leader continues its momentum as more stores are set to open around the world.

“As a pioneer in offering devoted brand fans a place to immerse themselves in a complete brand experience, Hershey’s Chocolate World has been a popular destination since we opened the doors of our flagship location in 1973,” said Amy Hahn, Vice President and General Manager of The Global Hershey Experience and Licensing. “We keep modernizing these amazing branded experiences to give consumers unique new ways to engage with our brands and keep coming to Hershey’s Chocolate World in record numbers.”

More than 150 million guests have visited a Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction since 1973, and the flagship location in Hershey, Pa., hosts more visitors than any other brand experience in the world.

Record-Breaking Summer Season

Summer is the peak season for Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and this summer set the attendance record and ensured the popular destination will record its best full-year attendance in its 40-year history. Summer attendance was eight percent above last summer, the previous season record.

Summer 2013 also featured some record-breaking statistics for the original location in Hershey, Pa.:

 More than one million pounds of chocolate sold

 200,000 visitors were immersed in a Hershey’s Kisses digital experience that pulled consumers inside the imaginary factory of the Hershey’s Kisses TV commercial

 175,000 visitors created customized chocolate bars at Hershey’s Create Your Own Candy Bar attraction, a 12 percent increase over the prior year

 75,000 guests learned the art of tasting chocolate through the Chocolate Tasting Adventure

 More than 200,000 guests helped solve a mystery inside the Hershey’s Chocolate Factory with live animated Hershey, Reese and Kiss characters at the “Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery 4D Show” launched in May in time for the 40th anniversary

The Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square store underwent a complete design renovation in 2012 and received top honors in the Visual Merchandising & Store Design (VMSD) magazine’s International Visual Competition. 40 Years of Confectionery Fun:

Hershey’s Chocolate World Attractions have celebrated a number of key milestones over the past four decades, including:

 1973: Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction in Hershey, Pa., opens its doors for the first time, offering chocolate-lovers a “behind-the-scenes” view of the creation of the classic confections through a simulated factory tour ride

 1984: Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction visitors take on the Hershey’s brand – literally – with personalized messages on molded chocolate bars, followed by personalized 5-pound bars (1999) and packaging that features customers’ images on a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar wrapper or genuine Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction Syrup bottle (2009)
