Minimum Food Cost in the USA:

$30/day × 365 days = $10,950/year

Lifespan: 98 years →

$10,950 × 98 = $1,073,100 per person JUST FOR FOOD.

Now multiply this by:

8 Billion people = $8.5 Quadrillion needed

JUST to feed the world from birth to death.

Not for luxury. Not for travel.

Just for the right to live — to eat.

And yet… leaders spent trillions on:

Bombs

Space races

Nuclear weapons

Golden statues

Religious buildings

Personal jets

Award ceremonies

But NOT on the only thing that keeps a human being alive — FOOD.

Two words — God and Freedom — caused more war, greed, division, and destruction than any other.

And still, there’s no food security. No soil protection. No dignity in daily survival.

If you’re a leader, parent, teacher, or spiritual guide and you haven’t done this math —

You’re leading people into darkness.

This is not about politics.

This is about your own children. Your own plate. Your own future.

STOP worshipping titles.

START honoring truth.

Jack and Bryan have been best friends since the age of two. In high school Jack talked about getting his doctorate in math and computer technology and creating the first android robot. Bryan dreamed about becoming a big-time lawyer with a penthouse in the city and a house in the Hamptons. They graduated high school in 1969, a momentous summer, which they capped off by attending the Woodstock Concert. The three days of peace, love and music sent Jack off in a radically different direction. DURING CORONAVIRUS CRISIS

With schools closing to help stop the spread of coronavirus, millions of kids will be at home and you may even be their new substitute teacher. If you’re new to home schooling, you’re probably wondering how you can help your children learn and keep them occupied while you work from home too.

It’s especially important to make certain this health crisis doesn’t impact student achievement or leave any student behind. While some schools and teachers may have learning packets or online classes, there is now a new, free video series called Knowledge on the Go that features video lessons across math,English language arts and science subjects.

Knowledge on the Go classes will consist of free recorded daily lessons in Grades K–12 of Eureka Math; (a Common Core-aligned curriculum published by Great Minds Inc., equates mathematical concepts to stories, with the aim of developing conceptual understanding).

It also includes Grades K–8 of Wit& Wisdom, Great Minds’ English language arts curriculum; and Grades 3–5 of PhD Science. Great Minds’ own teachers will deliver the lessons,which will be available to anyone and viewable on any device, even a smartphone. Great Minds will release approximately 25 video lessons across the three curricula per day.

Girls at a very young age are curious about science and math—about 74% of kindergarten girls want to go into STEM—but by the time they reach middle school, only 15-20% remain interested.

Scientist, author, and professor Cristal Glangchai, PhD, attributes this to the way educators, parents, and the media talk to girls about pursuing STEM careers. She argues that a key part of raising strong, confident young women is giving them the tools of entrepreneurship to engage in STEM.

Glangchai’s new book, VentureGirls: Raising Girls to be Tomorrow’s Leaders (HarperCollins; May 2018) explains what has kept young girls out of STEM fields, as well as the practical applications of STEM learning, and how we can address the gender imbalance therein.

5 THINGS EVERY PARENT SHOULD KNOW Math Educator Shares Tips to Help Your Kids Succeed in Math Test scores show that school systems across the country are not supporting our children’s educational needs when it comes to developing their math skills. And, although there may not be a one-size fits all solution, families can make a difference in what students learn in school and in math. Senior math advisor for Texas Instruments, Former President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and math teacher Gail Burrill shares tips for what parents should know about helping their students succeed.
1. Math is important regardless of what kids want to be in life. Setting a good foundation when children are younger allows them to succeed in math through their high school years and beyond. Sixty percent of all new jobs in the early twenty-first century will require skills currently possessed by only 20 percent of the workforce.
2. Support for math education starts at home. Whether or not you enjoy math yourself, kids need encouragement to learn that hard work and persistence is important for success.
3. Provide resources when math gets tough. Math can sometimes be tough for even the best students, so make sure your student has the right tools for success. For example, research shows that students do better in math when they use a graphing calculator at home and in class.
4. Find ways to show them that math is important to everyone’s lives and interests. Showing students how to relate math to the real world will help them to understand why it’s important.
5. Ensure that they take four years of high-quality math in high school. All students should be enrolled in challenging, high-quality math courses.
INTERVIEW WITH: Gail Burrill, former president of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, is currently Mathematics Specialist in the Division of Science and Mathematics Education at Michigan State University. Previously Gail was a secondary teacher and department chair in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin for over 25 years and served as Director of the Mathematical Sciences Education Board. As an instructor for Teachers Teaching with Technology, she does workshops around the country on using technology in the classroom. She has spoken nationally and internationally on issues in teaching and learning mathematics.
