The “Thought for the Day” was submitted by Aisha Cahn in a wonderful, caring WhatsApp group of kind people. These young children holding up a slipper and laughing and playing with no shoes, but with each other, are happy and sad at the same time, for me.  While we see the simplicity in playing with a slipper or a rock or a tree branch, we also see the sadness that the children don’t have a phone camera to take that picture that they can keep forever with our new technology…on the other hand our memory, our smells, our love, our energy at any given moment is strongest and can’t be captured with a camera, or AI.  

Let’s share and applaud these children’s happiness in this photo and pray they do get a camera to communicate with the world or use as a safety device. There is more than enough for everyone on MOTHER EARTH TO HAVE A PHONE, TO HAVE A MEAL, AND TO HAVE A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD, CLEAN WATER AND MORE…

LET’S ORGANIZE AS ONE WORLD FOR ALL, as that is what we are, ONE WORLD.

No problem  Just pure joy — five children, one slipper, and a moment of instinctive imagination.  This little boy using his slipper as a phone to take a “selfie,” and the other kids posing like it’s the real deal. There’s laughter, togetherness, zero expecations and zero complaints.  A powerful reminder: Happiness is not found in what we own, but in how we see the world and most importantly ourselves!  In our constant chase for success, upgrades, and recognition, we often forget the simplicity of being content and happy.  These kids — with nothing — reminded me of everything that really matters!  Not every lesson comes from a boardroom, a billionare or a guru…  Some just come barefoot, and smiling
