Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Cultural Affairs Commissioner Kate D. Levin and NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta were joined by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) President Lucy Mitchell-Innes and Armory Show Vice President and Co-Founder Paul Morris at a press conference on March 2, 2010, to kick off a week of art-related activities from March 2 through March 7. Officials will highlight ADAA’s 22nd Annual Art Show at the Park Avenue Armory, the 12th annual Armory Show at Piers 92 and 94, and other art events taking place throughout New York City. The Art Show is an impressive national fine art fair which includes 26 exceptional solo and two-person focused exhibitions and composes an extraordinary presentation of the highest quality of artworks and tradition of connoisseurship and excellence.

Seventy of the nation’s leading art galleries will present museum-quality works of art in all genres. One of America’s most prestigious art fairs, The Art Show, will offer an outstanding selection of works by renowned and emerging artists in a range of styles and mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawings, prints, photographs, and multi-media works.

The Art Show is America’s longest running national fine art fair and organized by the ADAA to benefit the Henry Street Settlement. The Art Show, now in its 22nd year, continues the ADAA’s commitment to curatorial expertise and diversity.
