Dear Board of Directors members, present, past and always connected special advisors-helpers,

Ms. Merlin’s vet, Dr. Joy Lucas of Upstate Animal Medical Center called last evening following her 11 pm evening rounds of overnight patients. Her observation of Merlin’s declining condition was not optimistic. I let her know how important it would be to her, her family and me if she were held lovingly at home for her time of passage from physical to spirit. While she may be less stressed in the incubator with oxygen and not be moved, my feeling is that bringing her home where she is in the companionship of her family may be a compassionate choice.
