Presidential candidate John Edwards’ wife’s, breast cancer is back! White House Press Secretary Tony Snow’s prostate cancer has returned – and now spread to his liver! About 1,444,920 new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2007, according to the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

This year 559,650 Americans are expected to die of cancer, more than 1,500 a day, estimates the NCI. Fear and anxiety of a cancer diagnosis remain strong deterrents to early testing and treatment! Dr. Mary Harris says: “Studies tell us that about a third of the Latino population and 20% of African-Americans have no health insurance coverage! When cost is not a factor, people are more likely to get the preventive screening tests that could save their lives.”
