Harlem Mother’s S.A.V.E (Stop Another Violent Ending), www.harlemmotherssave.org a Harlem based charity led by Ms. Jackie Rowe Adams seeking to end gun violence and bridge the gap between cop and community, is hosting their annual summer event entitled, “Play Street”.

We anticipate hundreds of children, families and members of law enforcement from the 26th, 32nd and 36th precincts will gather for games, talks and community fun.

The kickoff for this weekly event is this Thursday, July 14th beginning at 1:00pm on 128th Street between St. Nicholas Avenue (7th) & Frederick Douglas Blvd (8th Ave), where Donahue Peebles III will give the opening remarks. Please come here him address our youngest and most vulnerable community members and law enforcement in a timely speech.

Sami Gayle has been a series regular on the CBS hit television drama “Blue Bloods,” since 2010. In 2014 Sami appeared as the antagonist Mia Rinaldi in the Weinstein film “Vampire Academy” currently in theatrical release. Her other film credits include: “Noah” with Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins,”Hateship, Friendship” with Kristen Wiig (Toronto Film Festival Premiere,) “The Congress” with Robin Wright and Paul Giamatti (Cannes Film Festival Premiere,) Nicolas Cage’s daughter in the action film “Stolen” and she was cast opposite Academy-Award winner Adrien Brody in the film “Detachment.” Sami began her acting career as Baby June both in the Broadway and Off-Broadway production of “Gypsy” starring Patti LuPone. She appeared Off-Broadway in the plays “Oohrah!” at the Atlantic Theater Company and in “Family Week” which was directed by Academy-Award winner Jonathan Demme.
