Roosevelt Islander Jim Luce, founder of Orphans International Worldwide will be honored with this award tomorrow – December 14th – in Washington. Once again, he turns the spotlight on this local community and its immeasurable impact on the world.

On December 14, 2023, the European American Women’s Council (EAWC) will host its 27th Annual Global Goddess Artemis Awards Ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Rayburn Building on Capitol Hill.

The distinguished event will be attended by members of Congress, along with prominent leaders and celebrities from Greece, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the United States. Hon. Carolyn B. Maloney, former Congresswoman representing Manhattan’s Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island, will serve as the Honorary Host.

The ceremony will take place in the U. S. Capitol Rayburn Building with an audience comprised of members of Congress and other distinguished leaders and celebrities in attendance from Greece, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the United States.

Earlier this week, Henry Kissinger, a former U.S. Secretary of State and national security advisor, passed away at the age of 100. While he left mixed feelings on his actions over the course of his career, there’s no question that Kissinger had left an influential mark on politics

Kissinger was actually the first Jewish Secretary of State when he was sworn into office, which would later become a pressure point to the Nixon administration, becoming a key factor on said pressure with Israel when it came to withdraw from approaching Cairo and Damascus during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

But the interesting thing is how Kissinger’s passing actually relates to current politics. Antony Blinken, also Jewish, now serves as Secretary of State, and is actually visited Israel this week to meet with leaders over the ongoing ceasefire in the war against Hamas.

The reason this comes up is because of the pressure that now comes from the Biden administration, though on a much different level than what Nixon’s did, in regards to the message they’re trying to convey. Not to mention the significance of their involvement in the 2024 Presidential election, which will no doubt draw both pro-Israel voters, as well as millions of Jews and Christians.

With us now to talk about Kissinger’s legacy and how it has these interesting ties with the modern political scene is Jonathan Feldstein, a key Israeli figure and founder of the Genesis 123 Foundation (based on Genesis 12:3). His expertise in what’s happening in Israel should prove useful with this discussion. We welcome him to the show.

Why Do I Exist is an international Non Government Organization (NGO) that is focusing on helping orphans since the tragedy of 1994 of the Genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda. With an initiative of making a world with care and passion, Marie Claudine Mukamabano initiated this Foundation to help and rescue people that were living with no hope. Spoke out with compassion and a hearted spirit the founder advocated for peace and resilience for genocide survivor mainly looking at the Rwandan Orphans.

It is in this regard that, Why Do I Exist is organizing again UN’s International Day for Peace that will take place at Muhima Primary School, Kigali-Rwanda on 21st September 2013.

There will be more speakers from different corner of the society, government officials, and speeches from the Founder, high protocol that will be represented on that day such as different companies that deals with Human rights, Peace building, Peace education, conflict resolutions and social aspects of the society. There will be a great opportunity for the passionate people to offer their help as they support Orphans to get to the next step of their life.

Why Do I exist? Empowers and support the Orphans through different programs and it aims at helping the orphans let alone by the tragedy of 1994 genocide against Tutsi, the founder herself as an orphan survivor of genocide made and still makes possible effort to see Orphans problems, needs catered for.

The Kuki Ndiho Foundation helps rebuild the lives of orphans as well as other children and young adults who have been scarred by the tragic 1994 genocide and its aftermath. It creates within a unique educational and cultural framework, the opportunity to build individual and social developmental momentum and contribute resources, knowledge and support to the recovering communities. We are dedicated to the physical, emotional, Financial, psychological and spiritual healing and cultivation of the lives of the thousands who survived by producing a vastarray of projects which include creating and managing orphanages, education and training programs, social services, community centers, art therapy centers as well as numerous media activism campaigns, films and web sites. The initiative is continuous and works speaks for themselves, come and we celebrate together the UN’s International Day of Peace with The Why Do I exist? The UNSRC Aux Antilles Club was founded in 1990 by U.N. Haitian staff members who wanted to share their culture and that of other Caribbean countries with others. Since its existence, the Club has showcased countless talents from Haiti as well as from other countries. It has also been very present in helping raise funds for Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and recently for Japan. This gala is yet another event that the Club is organizing.

Tabou Combo. Tabou Combo is Haiti’s most famous group. For over 30 years, they have toured worldwide and are celebrated as the “Ambassadors of Kompa” – the popular Haitian dance rhythm sung in French, English, Spanish and Creole. Tabou Combo’s music is aimed squarely at the dance floor – mixing Haitian Meringue, Rara (vodoun percussion) with Kompa and elements of Brazilian music, Soukous and Funk. Their phenomenal popularity has given them an important standing in Haitian society and they use their lyrics to defend the poor people in their songs.

The gala is in support of Uni Haiti Phase 1 – the reconstruction of the sanitation facilities of l’Ecole la Rédemption, Uni Haiti’s partner school, in Léogâne, Haiti.
