The NY Chapter is thrilled to announce that the 65th Annual NY Emmy Awards will be livestreamed on Saturday October 8th in two separate ceremonies.
The Creative Arts Ceremony will begin at 3:30 and last until about 5pm. This ceremony will celebrate the outstanding work produced by the NY Chapter’s craftspeople. That ceremony can be viewed live at these links.

The second half of our gala will begin about 7:00 pm and last until the end about 11pm. Jon Stewart & John Feal will be honored with the Chapter’s President’s Award for their work helping 911 first responders and veterans obtain health benefits. Dan Rather will be honored with the Chapter’s Governors’ Award for his 70 plus years as one of America’s most respected journalists. In addition to that we will also be awarding a record number of Emmys to our members.

White Parties are circuit parties at which the standard attire is all or almost all white. The White Party theme of having its participants wear all-white clothing is because white stands for purity and because white is elegant, non-political, non-combative and makes people looks plain beautiful.[citation needed] In the United States, White Parties have taken place in Chicago, New York City, Miami, Palm Springs, California, and other cities. Other White Parties have taken place in Montreal, Rome, Gothenburg, and Hong Kong. The events are generally independent of each other.

The New York City White Party was first held at the private gay disco “Flamingo” on Broadway and Houston, on Presidents’ Day weekend. The white theme derived from the snow often to be found that time of year. It was then adopted by the East Village disco “The Saint” during the month of February of each year usually coinciding with the full moon. Dress requirement was always white. After the closing of “The Saint” in 1988, The White Party became the norm for other cities around the country in the current circuit party system to host such events.

MISS ISABELLA TANG TO DEBUT AT THE INTERNATIONAL DEBUTANTE BALL

Miss Isabella Tang, daughter of Mr. Nai Pan and Sheena Lam of Hong Kong, China, will make her debut at The 60th International Debutante Ball on Monday, December 29th, 2014, in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Isabella is a student at the University of California in Los Angeles, California. Her father, Mr. Nai Pan Tang, is a banker with Chong Hing Bank in Hong Kong. Her mother, Mrs. Sheena Lam, is a banker with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong.
The International Debutante Ball, founded in 1954, is considered one of the most prestigious debutante presentations. Young women of distinction from all over the country and around the globe are brought together at the ball and the surrounding parties with daughters of Diplomats, titled Europeans, Ambassadors, Governors and Presidents of the United States. Over the years, the ball has benefited numerous charities through the International Debutante Ball Foundation, including one of its major beneficiaries, the Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club of New York, which provides a home away from home for the men and women of our Armed Services.
