(February 26, 2025 – New York, NY)— Tony winning Producer Rose Caiola together with veteran Talent Manager and Producer Cyrena Esposito welcome the next powerhouse casts for the world premiere of MY FIRST EX-HUSBAND, the new hit show by comedy maven Joy Behar at Off-Broadway’s newest venue, MMAC Theater at 248 West 60th Street.

Directed by Randal Myler, the 90-minute show called “as relatable as it is outrageous” by People Magazine has award-winning comedienne Judy Gold (HBO/Comedy Central), Emmy Award winner Susan Lucci (All My Children), Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull, Soapdish) and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Jelly’s Last Jam, Caroline or Change, Sistas) from February 26 to March 23.

From March 26 to April 20, the cast will feature OBIE winner Talia Balsam (HBO’s Divorce, Homeland), Veanne Cox (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Emmy nominee Jackie Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building, Feud: Betty and Joan), and Andrea Navedo (Jane The Virgin). Balsam replaces the previously announced Gina Gershon who had a scheduling conflict.

MY FIRST EX-HUSBAND is a hilarious, no-holds-barred series of stories created by the legendary Joy Behar. With razor-sharp wit and zero filters, Joy dives into the messy truths of love, marriage, and divorce, revealing

the chaotic, funny, and often eye-opening realities of relationships. These stories are as relatable as they are outrageous, offering something for anyone who’s ever tied the knot—or thought about untying it.

The show is produced by Rose Caiola (Caiola Productions) and Cyrena Esposito (Red Letter Entertainment) with Associate Producers Mark Rubinsky and Tony Castrigno.

SUSAN LUCCI, the most famous face in daytime television history, has held audiences spellbound for over 40 years as the sexy and sassy “woman you love to hate,” Erica Kane, on ABC’s award-winning daytime drama “All My Children.” In May of 1999, on her 19th nomination, she won the EMMY for “Best Actress,” a historic moment for Lucci and all of television, receiving the longest-standing ovation in television history. TONYA PINKINS. Renowned theater actress, Pinkins is a three-time Tony nominee, winning the award in 1992 for her performance as Sweet Anita in Jelly’s Last Jam. Over the course of her career in theater, she has also been recognized with Opie, Lortel, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, AUDLECO, Garland, LA Drama Critics Circle, Clarence Derwent and NAACP Theater awards. On television, Pinkins can currently be seen in Tyler Perry’s popular dramedy series Sistas, and she recently starred in the critically acclaimed ABC limited series Women of the Movement. Pinkins also appeared in the series God Friended Me, Fear the Walking Dead, Gotham, 24 and J.J. Abrams’ 11.22.63. Notable silver screen credits include Above the Rim, The Book of

JOY BEHAR (Playwright) is among today’s leading comic talents. Whether performing stand-up comedy or interviewing politicians and artists, she is an original voice and leading woman on both stage and screen. CYRENA ESPOSITO (Producer) is a long-time talent manager, former talent agent, and founder of Red Letter Entertainment, representing  some of the industry’s finest and award-winning talent. Cyrena is a producer on Broadway’s Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, which was nominated for nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical Revival. She also co-produced the Tony Award-winning musical, Memphis as well as Spiderman on Broadway. She got her BFA in Theatre and began her career as an actress. MMAC THEATER is New York City’s newest Off-Broadway theater. It is the next step in the evolution of the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center’s celebrated studio spaces that have long been used for dance performances, workshops and industry presentations. Many of these projects have gone on to commercial production including Rock & Roll Man, Hamilton , Cinderella, Pretty Woman, Billy Elliot, MJ, and over 100 others. There was a bird who lived in a desert, very sick, no feathers, nothing to eat and drink, no shelter to live in. One day a dove was passing by, so the sick unhappy bird stopped the dove and inquired “where are you going?” it replied ” I am going to heaven”.

So the sick bird said “please find out for me, when my suffering will come to an end?” The dove said, “sure, I will.” and bid a good bye to the sick bird. The dove reached heaven and shared the message of the sick bird with the angel incharge at the entrance gate.

The angel said, “For the next seven years of its life the bird has to suffer like this, no happiness till then.”

The dove said, “When the sick bird hears this he will get disheartened. could you suggest any solution for this.”

The Angel replied, “Tell him to recite this verse *”Thank you God for everything.”* The dove on meeting the sick bird again, delivered the message of the angel to it .

After seven days the dove was again passing by and saw that bird was very happy, feathers grew on his body, a small plant grew up in the desert area, a small pond of water was also there, the bird was singing and dancing cheerfully. The dove was astonished. The Angel had said that there would be no happiness for the bird for the next seven years. With this question in mind the dove went to visit the angel at heaven’s gate.

The dove put forth his query to the Angel. The Angel replied, “yes it is true there was no happiness for the bird for seven years but because the bird was reciting the verse *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”* in every situation, his life changed.

When the bird fell down on the hot sand it said *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”*

When it could not fly it said, *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”*

When it was thirsty and there was no water around, it said, *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”*

Whatever the situation, the bird kept on repeating, *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”* and therefore the seven years got dissolved in seven days.

When I heard this story, I felt a tremendous shift in my way of feeling, thinking, accepting and viewing life

I adopted this verse in my life. WHATEVER the situation I faced I started reciting this verse *”THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING”.* It helped me to shift my view from what I did not have to what I have in my life.

For instance; if my head aches I THANK GOD that the rest of my body is completely fine and healthy and I notice that the headache does not bother me at all.

In the same manner I started using this verse in my relationships (whether family, friends, neighbors, colleagues ) finances, social life, business and everything with which I can relate. I shared this story with everyone I came in touch with and it brought a great shift in their behaviour too.

This simple verse really had a deep impact on my life, I started feeling how blessed I am, how happy I am, how good life is.

The purpose of sharing this message is to make all of us aware of how powerful the *“ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE”* is. It can reshape our lives…!!!

Lets recite this verse continuously to experience the shift in our life.

So be grateful, and see the change in your attitude.

Hi, Happy Mother’s Day. First, I want to acknowledge that this day is hard for some people, including myself. This newsletter has cartoons about moms, of moms, and for moms, plus a downloadable last-minute Mother’s Day card/activity.

I lost my mom in 2015.

Some years Mother’s Day doesn’t bother me, some years it does. A lot of you are new here because of my Passover project. Important holidays like Passover aren’t the same since my mom died.

Of course, this holiday isn’t the same, either. But, I keep finding new ways to make the most of them even though my mom isn’t here. Today, I’m thinking of my grandma, my female friends and family, and my friends who are amazing moms. And, especially my youngest sister, Lexi, who I lean on all the time. Today’s her birthday!

I was trying to think of a Mother’s Day product and struggling. I drew a floral “Mom”, but it wasn’t that exciting. Then I realized I like storytelling and creating experiences. Then I got the “Mom Lib” idea. Fill it out Mad Libs style or use it as a writing guide for a sincere card. It downloads as a two-page PDF, so you can fold it into a card. Some dark humor—no mom on mother’s day

This cartoon is my way of expressing how I feel on Mother’s Day, especially when people who don’t know me well ask if I’m visiting my mom. I feel a sense of unfairness that she’s gone and this holiday still exists. I feel connected to her in random places and at unexpected times (most recently when my smoke alarm started chirping and during the movie CODA). I try to look out for signs, if those exist! If she was here, I’d visit her all the time.

However, GNC theory is that we are all in this together for Peace and we are happy to share producer credits with all our partners, some of the best in the business.

Clearwater is excited to welcome David Toman, who comes with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, most recently as the Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer at the Mohonk Preserve. Toman’s non-profit career began in the public accounting world; his love of nature guided him to the Delaware Nature Society where he held the position of Associate Director of Business & Finance for 12 years.

As Clearwater’s Executive Director, Toman will be responsible for supervising all programs and operations, including implementing Clearwater’s recently adopted strategic plan in concert with board and staff. His work will encompass strengthening relationships with Hudson Valley partners and broadening both Clearwater’s base of support and the impact of its activities.

David hopes to draw from his combined experience in environmental advocacy, nature education, public engagement, and business acumen to help guide Clearwater as they address the current challenges to the health of our environment.

“Pete Seeger had a wonderful vision that a beautiful boat and music could bring people together to care for the Hudson River. Clearwater has played an important, unique, and necessary role in the ongoing efforts to protect the river” said Toman. “I am so fortunate to be able to join a dedicated group of people working towards this cause, and it will be a rewarding occupation knowing that I am serving this important mission.”

In his spare time, David enjoys paddling on local waterways, nature hikes with his Karelian Bear Dog, and listening to great music with his family, where they reside in New Paltz, NY.

Toman will replace Acting Executive Director Steve Stanne, who has kept the organization on course since July 2019. Stanne provided much needed stability for Clearwater as they navigated the challenges of the pandemic. Stanne will continue as Clearwater’s Board President and looks forward to working with its new executive director.

Welcome aboard, David!

Today, we’re celebrating the profound legacy of Pete Seeger, on the eighth anniversary of his death.

For more than half a century, Pete championed the environment and for decades before he came to the Hudson Valley, social justice. In 1966, when the Hudson River was rank with raw sewage, toxic chemicals, oil pollution and bacteria, too anoxic to support fish life over many miles of its length, he announced plans to “build a boat to save the river.” In 1969, two thousand people attended the launching of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.

“Pete Seeger dedicated his life to leading a revolution against injustice. He sang for workers rights, civil rights, for environmental awareness; he built the sloop Clearwater to save the Hudson River from pollution. He succeeded in bringing social consciousness to these causes and helped to create historic reforms that made this world a better place,” said Captain Nick Rogers in 2017.

Over fifty years later, Clearwater is recognized for its unparalleled environmental education programs, through which hundreds of thousands of watershed residents of all ages have investigated the ecology, history, and environmental challenges of the Hudson Valley. These award-winning programs aim to create the next generation of environmental leaders.

Pete’s dedication to environmental and social justice has guided the organization through decades of advocacy through education. For years, he would show up (sometimes unannounced) at local elementary schools, armed with his iconic banjo to sing about the river with students. These school sing-a-longs remain treasured memories that the now parents of 4th graders share with us often during Sailing Classroom Programs.

Due to Pete’s leadership around equity and inclusivity, Clearwater has served for 4 decades as one of the only tall ships in the country to have a strong line of female (and female presenting) Captains and crew who found Clearwater as one of the only safe spaces with opportunities for advancement and respect in the industry. For 20 years, Clearwater has offered Youth Empowerment Programs to break down the barriers historically marginalized groups in the communities we serve face to the river and to sailing. Our advocacy team has played a critical role in coalition building with concerned community members, state, and federal regulatory agencies in the fight for clean water; resulting in two recent long awaited triumphs for Hudson Valley residents: the closure of Indian Point, marking the end of the Nuclear Power generation at the plant, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s denial of Danskammer proposed expansion of the fracked gas plant.

As we grow, learn, and create change together here at Clearwater, one thing becomes clear, and Captain Nick outlined it wonderfully, “We find ourselves fighting harder than ever to preserve his legacy as we see the patterns of history repeating themselves as we walk these same roads, fight these same fights, march in Washington D.C., and protest peacefully to protect our rights and our rivers. Pete has done more than inspire us, he taught us to use our voices, to unite, and to never stop fighting.”

Pete Seeger was a giant, worldwide, though he never wanted to be made out to be an idol. He made all us feel like we were a part of he and Toshi’s chosen family. He and his friends played music to get us together to raise awareness about the river, they inspired us to play music together, share memories, and mobilize against issues of social injustice in our own communities. He demonstrated that there is no age too old to begin advocating for what’s right,
