Twice a year, time reminds us who’s really in charge.

And then, once a year, we steal an hour back from the dark.

Daylight Saving Time isn’t just about clocks springing forward or falling back — it’s about light winning, about stretching the day like a golden ribbon across the sky. It’s about that first evening when the sun lingers just a little longer, brushing buildings in amber, turning ordinary streets into movie sets.

Time is the one thing we can’t negotiate with. It doesn’t care about fame, money, or status. It moves — steady, relentless, democratic. But Daylight Saving Time? That’s our tiny rebellion. Our collective decision to chase the light.

And if you’re going to celebrate stealing back the sun, you do it with the best of the best.

You gather the visionaries, the artists, the dreamers — the ones who understand that an extra hour of light is an extra hour to create, to perform, to love, to build legacy. The composers who turn daylight into symphonies. The singers who stretch a sunset into a standing ovation. The storytellers who know that every second counts because every second is currency.

Daylight Saving Time is a reminder:

We don’t just mark time — we make something of it.

It’s cocktails on rooftops while the sky blushes pink.

It’s rehearsals that run long because inspiration doesn’t clock out.

It’s laughter that spills into the evening air, unhurried and unapologetic.

We don’t fear the ticking clock.

We toast to it.

Because the best of the best know something most people forget — time is not meant to be managed. It’s meant to be lived. Stretched. Celebrated.

So, when the clocks shift and the light lingers, step into it.

Stand taller.

Dream bigger.

Create louder.

***TELEDENTISTRY***
ENSURES CONTINUITY OF DENTAL CARE AND KEEPS PATIENTS AND PROVIDERS SAFE
With stay-at-home orders and dental clinics closures, 35% of people say they’ve already missed a dental appointment due to the pandemic. With telemedicine adoption in hyper-drive – telehealth visits surged 50% and virtual health interactions are on pace to exceed one billion by the end of2020. Teledentistry is being thrust into the spotlight, emerging not only as a solution during the era of social distancing, but also as a growing health trend. The American Dental Association says teledentistry includes a broad variety of technologies and tactics to deliver virtual medical, health and education services which include:
Live video or synchronous communication
•	A two-way, secure “real-time” interaction between patients and dentists using a live video, web-based connection to link a patient and a dental provider.
Store-and-forward or asynchronous communication
o A two-way, secure “non-live” exchange of health information between the patient and dentist, such as a patient’s X-rays, photographs, and health symptoms.
Remote patient monitoring (RPM)
•	Allows medical data to be collected from an individual in a different location, allowing a health provider to monitor a condition.
Mobile health (MHealth)
•	Use of smartphones or other mobile devices to help people lead healthier lifestyles.
Some of the benefits of teledentistry include:
•	Convenience and Time savings for patient
•	Dentist can reach more patients, especially those in rural areas
•	Patient can reach health care provider quickly in emergency to relieve severe pain and/or risk of infection
While the COVID-19 crisis may have focused more attention on teledentistry, it can also serve as a turning point to help people maintain dental health beyond the pandemic and connect millions of people with the care they need. Right now, more than 56 million Americans live in areas with a shortage of dental professionals and 74 million don’t have dental insurance. With more than 90% of all systemic diseases having an oral manifestation, teledentistry can also be a tool to transform the healthcare industry by aligning dental and medical providers to care for the whole person, not individual parts.
Dr. Sean Boynes, Vice President, Health Improvement for the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement, discuss the rise of teledentistry, its benefits and what patients can expect when using this innovative solution, now and in the future.
FAMILY HOLIDAY TRAVEL SURVIVAL GUIDE: INSIDER TIPS FOR STRESS FREE AND SANITY SAVING TRAVELS!!!

HOLIDAY FAMILY TRAVEL EXPERT: TRISH McDERMOTT

It’s no secret that traveling with children, and especially with babies, during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays can be exhausting and incredibly stressful. Just under 50 million Americans will be traveling for Thanksgiving this month. Families love to go home for the holidays! For traveling families, crowded airports, unwieldly baggage, long flights with cranky little ones, and hotels and vacation rentals that don’t always meet their very basic needs can be incredibly stressful.

Nationally recognized family travel expert, and co-founder of Babierge (baby + concierge), Trish McDermott, comes to the rescue. Trish will provide insider family travel tips to help you and yours overcome the challenges of holiday season travel. She will discuss everything from how to book kid-friendly accommodations, why it’s so much easier to rent baby gear (and even a Christmas tree or Menorah) at your destination than it is to lug it through the airport, how to easily and quickly get your family through the TSA checkpoint, how to survive a long flight with little ones, and how to guarantee your baby will sleep well at your vacation destination After all, holiday family travel should be a restful and relaxing vacation for everyone—even parents!

Some of the Family Holiday Travel Tips Travel Trish McDermott offers are:

• Where to stay: Book hotels and vacation rentals that meet basic baby and toddler needs. Safe, warm, quiet, equipped with a bathtub, easy access to food and diapers at a nearby store and located near a local park or play structure (or sledding hill). Bonus points if the hotel offers kid-friendly holiday activites.

• What not to pack: The lighter you pack, the easier you travel. Aim to fly with a carry-on only. Use a baby equipment rental company like Babierge to rent gear like cribs, strollers, car seats, high chairs and toys which can be delivered to your hotel or vacation rental. You can even have a pre-lit Christmas tree and stockings for your firecplace delivered.

• Christmas Gifts: Order everything online and have your Christmas gifts shipped directly to your location. Save the boxes to ship them home too.

• Baby Jet Lag: A week before you travel begin to gradually adjust your baby’s naptime and bedtime to move closer to your destination time zone. Consider a flight that takes off right around baby’s bedtime too.

• Avoid TSA Meltdowns:
1. Ask to be put in a special line for families (this often moves you to the front of the line).
2. Dress everyone in metal-free clothing and older children in shoes that are easy to remove and put back on. Children under 12 can wear their shoes during screening.
3. Explain security procedures and their purpose to your children in advance.
4. If you are holding a toddler when you go through screening and the alarm beeps, both you and your little one are subject to search. If your toddler can walk, encourage her to walk through on her own.
5. You can bring formula, breast milk and juice in greater than 3.4 ounce bottles through screening. Inform the TSA officer you are carrying them in advance and remove them from your carry-on bag for separate screening. They might get tested for explosives though. Ice packs are OK too.
.
• Survive Long Flights:
1. Try to sit near the front of the plane—it’s a quieter ride.
2. Dress your children in comfortable AND adorable clothing. Your fellow passengers will forgive super cute children for noisiness or other minor misbehaving.
3. Bring one-day’s-worth of baby food, other snacks, drinks and a change of clothing for each child and yourself—holiday flight delays are always a possibility.
4. Quiet toys keep everyone happy.
5. Your airplane tray table is a petri dish of disgusting germs. Bring a tray table cover and keep it covered during the entire flight.
• Get Some Sleep: When babies sleep well, everyone gets to rest and recharge on vacation. Do your best to replicate your baby’s and toddler’s sleep environment at home. Use a full-size wooden crib and bring the sheet your baby last slept on at home. (Don’t wash it.) This way while he may be in a new environment, his sheet smells and feels like home to him.

• Leverage The Collaborative Economy: Millennial parents will look to the sharing economy for much of their holiday travel this year. Leave the family dog with a loving family via Rover, rather than at a kennel, stay at a kid-friendly rental via Airbnb or Kid & Coe, have your car seats delivered right to the airport via Babierge and then grab a Lyft to get to your hotel.

Good News hears COMMENTARY ON THE NEW TREND OF AN AUTOMATIC TIME PIECE: Angie and Jeremy Zimmerman husband and wife co-founders of Chase Frederick

On Sunday, March 12th, we changed our clocks ahead one hour, which means that Daylight Savings Time started and Standard Time has ended. However, the change shouldn’t stop there. The Chase Frederick project, suggests that you should also take this opportunity to NOT only change the time, but your watch too.

Aiming to challenge the paradigm of thinking that an automatic watch is only for the men’s club, the Chase Frederick project, (https://www.chasefrederick.com) is on a mission to change this perception. The luxury time-piece company is hitting the luxury fashion accessories market hard with breathtakingly designed slim, self-winding automatic watches for women. Within an industry where automatic watches are primarily bulk and well suited for men, Chase Frederick hopes to debut multiple designs, with the help of crowdfunding, that reflect vintage aesthetics with a modern, yet romantic appeal. Chase Frederick is headquartered in Indianapolis and run by husband and wife co-founders Angie and Jeremy Zimmerman, who saw a missing product within the women’s watch market. The Chase Frederick Kickstarter will run for duration of 30 days and will assist the company in launching seven different automatic watch designs with a general retail price of under $300. The company has set an overall crowdfunding goal of $20K.
Angie and Jeremy Zimmerman will be able to discuss the following The levels for the campaign and contributor gifts include:
•	Contribute $30 or more for a free bracelet (Below)
•	$200 Super Early Bird Contributor special for choice of one watch with stainless steel band: Pink dial, Serenity blue dial, or Silver dial. Includes $30 bracelet for free. (Limited to 100 contributors)
•	$225 Super Early Bird Contributor special for choice of one watch with premium stainless steel band: Two toned gold, two-tone Rose gold or titanium. Includes $30bracelet for free. (Limited to 100 contributors)
•	$225 for choice of one watch with stainless steel band: Pink dial, Serenity blue dial, or silver dial. Includes $30 bracelet for free.
•	$250 for choice of one watch with premium stainless steel band: Two- tone gold, Two – tone rose gold, or Titanium. Includes $30 bracelet for free.
•	$1250 Sorority/Wedding Pack: Any choice of any six watches. Includes 6 bracelets, with a $30 value each.

Chase Frederick bracelet
“The trend has shifted towards larger watch dials, and this is because many watch brands spend so much time focusing on men and not women,” says Jeremy Zimmerman. “We chose to do something very few other brands do in the watch industry; we chose to focus on creating a truly feminine piece. A timepiece is a fashion statement which should complement your wardrobe, and we felt this bold statement for women should be elegant, and feminine, something women would be proud to wear.”
A self-winding automatic reflects a more classic style with a visual impact. Chase Frederick takes much pride in their first product, a 24mm Automatic Timepiece designed and manufactured with only the finest materials and quality craftsmanship. Every part of the timepiece is the brand’s original design while working closely with manufacturers to flesh out complete engineering specifications, identifying quality materials, processes and techniques that best fit the overall vision of creating an elegant and truly feminine piece.

For other uses, see Summer time (disambiguation) and DST (disambiguation).
This article is about the concept of daylight saving time. For local implementations, see Daylight saving time around the world.
World map. Europe, Russia, most of North America, parts of southern South America and southern Australia, and a few other places use DST. Most of equatorial Africa and a few other places near the equator have never used DST. The rest of the land mass is marked as formerly using DST.

Although not used by the majority of the world’s countries, daylight saving time is common in the Western world.
DST is used.
DST is no longer used.
DST has never been used.
Daylight saving time (DST) or summer time (see Terminology) is the practice of advancing clocks during the lighter months so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in the autumn.

The modern idea of daylight saving was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson, and it was first implemented by Germany and Austria-Hungary starting on 30 April 1916. Many countries have used it at various times since then, most consistently since the energy crises of the 1970s.

The practice has been both advocated and criticized. Adding daylight to evenings benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours, but can cause problems for evening entertainment and other activities tied to the sun (such as farming) or to darkness (such as firework shows). Although an early goal of DST was to reduce evening use of incandescent lighting (formerly a primary use of electricity), modern heating and cooling usage patterns differ greatly, and research about how DST currently affects energy use is limited or contradictory.

Other problems sometimes caused by DST clock shifts are: They complicate timekeeping, and can disrupt meetings, travel, billing, record keeping, medical devices, heavy equipment, and sleep patterns. Software can often adjust computer clocks automatically, but this can be limited and error-prone, particularly when DST dates are changed.

Quarterly Index Report Shows Investors’ Sentiments Up Sharply in the First Quarter of 2012 www.johnhancock.com

Radio Interviews Available with Matthew Greenwald, Market Researcher and Bill Cheney, Economist
Gas prices have risen dramatically and unemployment is still holding at an 8% rate, but investors seem to be in general agreement that the economy is poised for a comeback. In a time where so many people are still being affected by the recession, investors are more optimistic than ever about market growth, particularly in terms of stocks, retirement funds and balanced mutual funds.

According to the Investor Sentiment Index, a quarterly measure of investors’ views on a range of investment choices, life goals and economic outlook, investors are in sync with economic indicators suggesting that the internal dynamics of the U.S. economy are solid. A contributing factor to this was the rise of the Dow Jones Industrial Average above the 13,000 point mark in late February –
the first time it had closed on that level in nearly four years. That result, along with the belief that many investors are financially better off than they were two years ago, is helping to drive investors’ positive outlook that our economy is turning itself around.

In interviews on Tuesday, April 3rd, Mathew Greenwald, market researcher who performed the survey, and Bill Cheney, chief economist from John Hancock, are available to talk to your listeners about the index findings and what they mean for the economy as a whole. They’ll also discuss:

• Why right now is the best time to invest in certain stocks and mutual funds, and which ones you should consider
• Lagging concerns they still have on healthcare costs, the national debt and inflation
• Why they believe unemployment will start decreasing
• What do the rising gas prices mean if the economy is poised to start getting better

About the Talent:
Bill Cheney directs economic research for John Hancock Financial Services, the U.S. division of Toronto-based Manulife Financial Corporation. Based in Boston, he forecasts macro-economic and financial trends and analyzes the potential impact on the company’s individual business lines and investments. Cheney is a member of the National Association of Business Economists. Mathew Greenwald is the President of Mathew Greenwald & Associates, a market research firm, founded in 1985, which specializes in retirement and financial services issues.

Advice on Saving for Retirement Varies Depending on Your Stage of Life

Insight from a Financial Services Expert on What to Do When…

It’s something we know we all need to do. But depending on our age, and our stage of life, there are different retirement rules we need to follow.

Available to talk to your listeners about how to save, and eventually spend, in retirement, is financial services expert Scott Thoma. Scott’s advice has been featured on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, PBS’ Nightly Business Report and Bloomberg. He’ll be available on December 20, 2011, for interviews, offering age-based advice on preparing for retirement. He’ll discuss:

In your 30s and 40s: You’re getting married, you’re buying a home, you’re having a family…you’re saving for a down payment, you’re saving for your kids’ college, and you’re saving for retirement. Advice on how you can balance it all, and where exactly to place saving for your retirement on your to-do list.

In your 50s: The kids are out of the house, the college education is paid for – maybe. You’re nearing the age at which you want to retire. What can you do to preserve the funds you’ve accumulated and make the most of the home stretch, and what to do if you’re behind? Advice on what you should be doing with your money now, as the age for retirement draws near.

In your 60s: You’re just about there. You’ve been so focused on saving that it’s time to learn how to spend in retirement. Advice that’s very important to today’s Baby Boomers: what you need to know about spending smartly once you’re reliant on your retirement income.

About the talent: Scott Thoma has been a guest on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, PBS’ Nightly Business Report and Bloomberg and has been quoted in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s and the Boston Globe.

SUGGESTED QUESTIONS:

Why is saving for retirement important early on?

In our 30s and 40s, what are our challenges, and what should we do?

In our 50s, which challenges are less prominent and how can we give our savings and investments one last push?

In our 60s, how can we – and the millions of Baby Boomers out there – start to prepare to live in retirement?

What about when to take Social Security?

Where can we go for more information?
