ZAZ10TS Gallery presents Fractured, a solo
exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Yuli Aloni
Primor, on view March 26 – June 21, 2026, in
Times Square. Installed in the gallery and
extending into the public sphere through the
ZAZ Corner digital billboard in Times Square,
the exhibition places an intimate visual language
within the accelerated rhythm of public urban
space. The two contexts exist in productive
friction: the private made monumental, the
monumental made vulnerable. The exhibition
extends from gallery space into one of the
world’s most visible urban screens.
The work draws on two traditions of repair—Kintsugi, the Japanese practice in which broken
ceramics are reconstituted with gold so the fracture becomes its most radiant element, and
Tikkun, the Jewish ethical imperative to mend a broken world. Together, they form a politics of
visibility: an insistence that the seam be acknowledged rather than erased.
Working between digital technologies and oil painting, Aloni Primor constructs a feminine
mythology suspended between personal history and cultural narrative, between psychological
interiority and public surface. Identity here is neither stable nor given. It is continually
negotiated, fractured, and rebuilt through the tension between external expectation and inner
experience.
As the artist reflects, “The fracture is not failure. It is where the interior becomes visible—where
the private mythology of a woman presses outward into form.”
Within a city that continues, almost against its own velocity, to insist on gestures of human
presence, Fractured proposes that repair is not restoration. It is transformation, and the
fracture, made visible, becomes the work itself.
Alongside the gallery exhibition, the work will also be programmed on the ZAZ Corner
Billboard as part of the In Between programming from March 26 to April 24, 2026. Displayed in
15-second intervals on a large LED screen at the intersection of 41st Street and 7th Avenue,
the work enters the visual landscape of Times Square, introducing moments of reflection.

“Dietrich” set for one-night only performance at The Triad
Solo play honors legendary performer, patriot and feminist Marlene Dietrich

New York (June 6, 2018) – “Dietrich,” a compelling solo play about iconic German actress Marlene Dietrich, will wow New York audiences in a special one-night performance at the Triad Theater June 22.

“Dietrich” will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. at The Triad, the celebrated and widely-known Off-Broadway theater located at 158 W. 72ndSt.

Written by Willard Manus, directed by Judith Rose and starring Cindy Marinangel, “Dietrich” is a based on a true story. Set in May 1960, the play takes place when the actress returned to the Berlin stage for the first time since fleeing the Hitler regime in the 1930’s. Inside her dressing room at the Tatiana Palast Theater, Dietrich weighs whether to go through with the live performance despite threats on her life by Nazi sympathizers who resented her for having spent much of World War II entertaining American soldiers on the front lines. To them, Dietrich is a turncoat; a traitor who deserves to be shot and killed on stage.

“Dietrich” (formerly known as “Marlene”) celebrated its world premiere at the Brickhouse Theatre in Los Angeles and recently debuted in New York at the Hudson Guild Theatre as part of the New York Theatre Festival’s annual Winterfest.

Cindy Marinangel is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio and a graduate of the Chicago Second City Conservatory. Marinangel was recently seen in “Beverly Hills Christmas,” a holiday film starring actor Dean Cain that airs seasonally on UPtv.For more information, visit www.cindymarinangel.com.

In his Door God images, Zeng mixed the cultural elements of the East and the West, presented the aesthetical spectacles under the background of global consumerism, which have the cultural implications of intertwining, host-guest-exchange, and even conflict of the Eastern and Western cultures.

His Bubbles series since 2008 are mainly his own imaginations, which transform existing images by exaggeration, reconstruction, and regeneration in colors and figures, and form absurd feelings of social ecology， that life is materialized, while combined with the exhibition scene.

The bubble images from Zeng’s paintbrush at this time are mostly pink, which is obviously related to desires. On the one hand, they are rather dazzling: inflating, glossy, and magnificent. On the other hand, they are easy to collapse and vanish. As Mr. Li Xiaofeng said, “they are more like virus under microscopes, the virus of desire in societies.” All kinds of virus, phantoms of illusions are hardly to be recognized in complicated societies.

Zeng is very good at techniques of multiple paint layers on canvas, creating images with plastic or jade feeling to indicate the cultural characteristics of unstable, materialized objects and desires, and the spiritual confusion and anxiety faced by human existence, which are fragile, uncertain, and unpeaceful.

The fragmented bubble images with diversified colors shown in Zeng’s recent art works have deepened this kind of experience. Perhaps they are exactly the vision characters of our era, and the value of his art works.

Zeng studied in Sichuan Fine Arts College, Guangzhou Fine Arts College, and Fine Arts College of Beijing Normal University, and has been instructed by many fine arts masters like Zhang Xiaogang, Ye Yongqing, Guo Runwen, Xu Weixin, Shang Yang, Duan Zhengqu, etc., from whom he has gained profound knowledge, various techniques and skills.

Zeng has worked very hard for thirty years, persisted in independent creation, and had an outstanding achievement. His art works have been exhibited in China and overseas for many times and collected by various art collectors. His bubble paintings, as the unique and representative symbol of his art works, have been widely acknowledged in the art world.

Zeng, one of the well known contemporary artists, comes here to attend his first art exhibition in New York this time. Let us welcome this excellent artist, and wish his first New York exhibition a complete success!
