Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events produced Southampton Hospital’s 60th Annual Summer Party for the third consecutive year which raised $1.7 million in support of the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department at Stony Brook Hospital. The 2018 honorees included John and Margo Catsimatidis in addition to Bruce and Wendy Mosler with Douglas Elliman Real Estate serving as this year’s corporate chair. The celebration was emceed by WNBC news anchor Chuck Scarborough.

Celebrity event producer Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events designed and catered the festive summer event for the third consecutive year, further displaying his unparalleled creativity and expertise when producing A Larry Party. A nature display of trees, shrubbery and flowers added an air of growth and renewal to the ambiance. Elegantly arranged throughout the room were standing bouquets of pink flowers and leafy green foliage. Floral-patterned, silver glitter or classic white tablecloths adorned each table complete with a beautiful rose centerpiece or a white opaque vase. The event showcased Larry’s signature style with unforgettable décor and lighting installations, plus a sumptuous buffet of cuisines, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
Larry Scott’s keen eye for detail combined with an innate passion for storytelling has made him a respected, expert source on party planning in which he consistently produces event experiences rewarding for both hosts and attendees. Guests enjoyed a festive evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing with a musical performance by the Groove Society. The silent auction and raffle funded the highly trained team at the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department.
The evening’s emcee Chuck Scarborough highlighted the hospital’s momentous achievements since its inception in 1958, including the gracious leadership and effort of CEO Bob Chaloner of Southampton Hospital over the past 12 years. Saving numerous lives, including the father of John and Jenny Paulson many years ago, Southampton Hospital admits more than 6,000 patients annually with 25,000 emergency department visits. As the only facility in South Fork, Scarborough encouraged guests to make their philanthropic impact that evening.
