Some fall-time tips include: FILL IN THE BLANKS: Seed lawn in the fall to fill in those bare spots with patches of green. TOUGHEN UP YOUR TURF: Apply a winter-time turf builder to stimulate deeper root growth and crowd out weeds ADD THOSE FALL COLORS: September is an excellent time for planting shrubs and trees, as well as colorful mums, pansies and marigolds.
