Wonderama, One Times Square and the Times Square Alliance have partnered to provide a national cross platform media campaign to bring new “meaning to this year’s Halloweening” with a live parade event from New York’s Times Square honoring Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. This holiday family event will be featured in-program on Wonderama’s nationally syndicated television network for five (5) consecutive weeks promoting a call to action in support of UNICEF’s global response to issues around the world. The parade event down Broadway and 7th Avenues will be hosted by Wonderama’s David Osmond with special guest host UNICEF USA’s CEO Michael Nyenhuis and will be streamed live around the globe. And, for the first time ever parade participants and parade goers will be in for a real treat – “As Wonderama turns One Times Square into One Times Scare” – where visitors to Times Square will experience the real magic of the holiday in the first ever custom created Halloween experience taking place outside at One Time Square!

This cross-platform campaign will features sponsor commercial campaigns, highlighted by a custom produced in-program promotional segments. These custom branded segments will air on Wonderama’s nationally syndicated show, celebrating key sponsor participation in Wonderama’s “Biggest Halloween Parade in History II” taking place live in New York City in Times Square October 30, 2022!

When we say, “big,” we mean it; this parade is 10 stories high! On Halloween Eve, Wonderama will broadcast a parade with 50 hometown Grand Marshals, music, entertainment and more featured virtually on the most recognized billboard in the world at One Times Square, New York City.

World’s First Parasailing Trick Shot Happens off Coast of Jersey Shore
(July 31, 2019 – Wildwood, NJ) – Leading up to four games in Wildwood, NJ, Harlem Globetrotters star Zeus McClurkin made history with the first ever trick shot from a parasail. The incredible video below was released minutes ago and is approved for media (courtesy Harlem Globetrotters).
MORE INFO: In the video, Zeus is seen parasailing in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Wildwood, NJ, when he radios for a second boat to travel under him with a basketball hoop. Flying over 100-feet above, Zeus nails the shot despite the wind and waves. He followed up the parasailing shots with two more shots from one boat to another.

“I just hit one of my toughest trick shots ever,” said McClurkin on the boat ride back to the dock. “Today, I faced my toughest defense ever: waves, wind, and math.”

Zeus continues a summertime tradition in Wildwood with his unprecedented trick shot. His teammate Bull Bullard made a shot on the Skycoaster ride at Morey’s Piers in 2016, from a helicopter above the beach in 2017, and via an airplane in 2018.

The Harlem Globetrotters will play four games at the Wildwoods Convention Center from Wednesday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 17. They will continue their summer tour with two games on Sunday, Aug. 18 in Blue Bell, PA, before travelling to Arizona and Nevada later in the month. Jennie Walker & Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick I have been radio silent the past few months, as I have been working as the new Director of National and International Sponsorships for Rick Nielsen’s (of Cheap Trick) new guitar exhibit, Rick’s PIcks – A Lifelong Affair With Guitars & Music, which debuts August 10, 2012 in Rockford, IL at the Burpee Museum of Natural History. Rick Nielsen, the founding guitar player for Cheap Trick, is a life long resident of Rockford, IL.  He has been very generous to his hometown community and when he was approached about lending a few of his guitars (he has had over 2,000 during his career) to a new exhibit at the Burpee Museum of Natural History, he naturally said YES!  What started out as a few guitars on the wall has grown to an exhibit of almost 6,000 square feet, featuring over 70 of his rare and one-of-a kind guitars (including his iconic 5-neck guitar), memorabilia from his life on the road with Cheap Trick (photos, passports), amplifiers, stage wear, his famous picks, an 18-seat theater which will be running a new documentary on his life, and even a demo bar, where patrons can listen to the original recordings of many of Cheap Trick’s hit songs (I Want You To Want Me or Dream Police). After a scheduled 8-month run in Rockford the exhibit has plans to go on tour internationally and in the US.  Tokyo is being eyed as a first stop internationally (they love Cheap Trick there) as well as London and Berlin. In January 2013, a fundraising concert is planned featuring Rick Nielsen and a number of his friends (Dave Grohl, Slash, Todd Rundgren, Joe Elliot to name a few) at the Coronado Theater in Rockford to also raise funds for the Burpee Museum. I will be heading to Rockford, IL next week, for the Grand Opening Night VIP party and Ribbon Cutting the next day.
