We open with indigenous leader Phil Lane’s prayer and blessing, we have A Better World Media founder/host & holistic practitioner Mitchell Rabin with speakers Lynne Twist Co-Founder of Pachamama Alliance & Soul of Money Institute, Richard Lackey, Founder and CEO of World Food Bank, Duane Elgin, author, speaker, educator & media activist, Dahr Jamail, journalist, mountain climber, author of The End of Ice, Jon Schull, founder of Eco-Restoration Alliance.

Co-producer of the evening, Andrew Kaen of Planet Heart, will share a poem with us. Welcome by Rick Ulfik, Founder of We, The World and The WE Campaign. Featured, along with the speakers, are the internationally-loved singer Kristin Hoffmann, John Wubbonhorst, and the awesome flutist (& everything else) Premik Russell Tubbs whose music is sweet and mesmerizing.

Ricardo de Sena is the Director of UN Latin Affairs Office, UPF International

Rev. Brian Ellis-Gibbs
Rev. Brian Ellis-Gibbs is the Pastor of Queens Baptist Church, New York; associate faculty with the University of Phoenix in New Jersey; and adjunct professor in the New York Theological Seminary. Rev. Ellis-Gibbs serves on the Board of Directors for Faith in New York, an interfaith organization that works for social justice, freedom and equality.

Dr. Ahmad Chaudhry was born in Pakistan and raised in Pennsylvania where he attended college and afterwards went for graduate studies at Harvard. He then attended Stony Brook Medical School and currently is in private practice as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He has served the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on several levels including being a member of the National Board of the Youth branch and the General Secretary for the New York Chapter.

Dr. Frank Kaufmann is founder and President of Filial Projects, Director of the Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace (IRFWP), editor-in-chief of Dialogue and Alliance (1999 – 2009), and editor-in-chief of The New World Encyclopedia. He has worked in over 70 countries, including in conflict-ridden and violent environments, and engaged 500 international scholars for the development of New World Encyclopedia. Frank was nominated for the Guru Nanak Interfaith Award, along with the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. Dr. Kaufmann is an expert on interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

Please join us for a Free Introductory Workshop on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) offered by the New York Center For Nonviolent Communication. NVC is a language, a process and a consciousness that has greatly benefited thousands of people with regard to their work interactions and their personal relationships.

If you, your friends or your colleagues are in New York City, this free evening workshop is an opportunity to find out aboutthe new generation of communication skills that can help prevent and resolve conflicts while fostering connection and compassion. Many people believe practicing NVC is a key strategy for bringing peace to our world.

By coming to this NVC workshop you can also learn more about the Henry George School of Social Science which offers classes in economics and economic theory. All the classes and seminars offered by the Henry George School are FREE to the public!

Also, at this October 7th NVC workshop you can meet Mich Kuroda who will be leading a 10 Week NVC Practice Group in the Bronx on Tuesdays from 6PM to 8:30PM starting on October 8th.
