Together with our global network of ambassadors for peace we are working towards building a more peaceful world. Universal Peace Federation Honors the United Nations and Its Legacy of Peace This week, as we observe UN Disarmament Week and the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations, we reflect on eight decades of commitment to global dialogue, cooperation, and security. The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) reaffirms its support for the UN’s vision for a world united through service, moral leadership, and dialogue. This reminds us that lasting peace begins with faith in human dignity and shared responsibility. October has long been significant in UPF’s history. In 2005, Founders Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon inaugurated the Baltic region in Vilnius, Lithuania, declaring that true freedom exists for the common good. Their tour continued to Warsaw and Prague, spreading messages of moral renewal and peace. UPF has since hosted interfaith conferences in Israel, African peace conferences, and youth initiatives across Europe and Asia, demonstrating that dialogue, education, and collaboration are vital for reconciliation and unity. Today, Ambassadors for Peace and partner organizations continue this work worldwide through forums, interfaith dialogues, and volunteer programs. Many align their efforts with UN Disarmament Week, emphasizing that peace is not only the reduction of weapons but also the moral act of disarming prejudice and fear. UPF’s message remains clear: global peace begins with individual conscience and service, and connecting local action with international ideals makes the dream of a peaceful world a reality. Read the Full Article HERE Religious Leaders Unite for Faith and Freedom On October 16, 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), FFWPU-Capital Family Church, and ACLC hosted the “Peace Starts With Me Alliance” Religious Freedom Prayer Luncheon at The Washington Times building. Despite only a week’s notice, 40 faith and community leaders gathered to support religious liberty and interfaith solidarity, focusing on the detention of Mother Han, co-founder of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, and other Christian leaders in South Korea. Dr. Achile Acolatse, Southeast Region Director, called the gathering an urgent reminder to defend freedom of faith, while Dr. Michael Jenkins, UPF-North America President, highlighted Mother Han’s decades-long work promoting peace, dialogue, and humanitarian efforts. Leaders from Christianity, Islam, and Sikhism offered prayers, shared messages of solidarity, and coordinated special prayer services to advocate for justice and freedom. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the event highlighted UPF’s vision of “one human family under God” and its mission to transform communities through interfaith dialogue and action. The day featured uplifting music by the Canvas Church Worship Team, inspiring peace messages from Christian, Muslim, and Jewish leaders, and a proclamation from Mayor Randolph J. Taylor designating October 12th as Peace Road Day. “Un’edizione andata alla grande con numeri da capogiro, spettacoli sold out, a partire dalla serata inaugurale dedicata alle ouverture più celebri di tutti i tempi, condotta da Massimo Giletti, nella quale il pubblico straripava al San Domenico Auditorium Bortolotti”.

Così Cristiana Pegoraro, ideatrice e direttore artistico del Narnia Festival ha commentato la XIII edizione del Narnia Festival, la più bella di sempre, come la ha definita, andata in scena a Narni, con anteprime anche a Terni e Amelia, tra la soddisfazione generale. Oltre 250 artisti sul palco nei 55 eventi, concerti e spettacoli che hanno spaziato dalla musica alla danza, dal teatro all’arte.

Tra gli eventi di punta in cartellone ci sono stati ‘Le più belle frasi di Osho’ spettacolo tra satira e divertenti intermezzi musicali di e con Federico Palmaroli; ‘Sinfonia flamenca’ in cui la danza flamenca è stata eseguita oltre che su musica tradizionale, sulle note della musica classica con la partecipazione del grande maestro José Ruiz; l’adattamento di ‘Il Vecchio e il mare’ di Ernest Hemingway con la magistrale interpretazione di Sebastiano Somma; il concerto di Povia, cantautore impegnato in temi sociali, vincitore del festival di Sanremo; e poi il concerto finale ‘Il Valzer’ con l’Orchestra del Narnia Festival, diretta dal maestro Lorenzo Porzio, direttore musicale del Narnia Festival, che ha eseguito un repertorio dedicato ai valzer più famosi, includendo inediti di Beethoven in prima assoluta.

Ring Bells for PEACE & JUSTICE
at the moment of the Hiroshima bombing

NEW YORK, NY – Join Universal Peace Day in a global event of ringing bells around the world for Peace and Justice commemorating the 76th anniversary of the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This year the focus is on JUSTICE because without JUSTICE there is no PEACE.

At 7 pm: artists will share Visions of Peace with poetry, dance and music led by Eve Zanni and The Bliss Singers, pianist Isaac Raz

At 7:15 pm: Peace Bell Ringing Ceremony
at the exact moment of the Hiroshima bombing in NY
(8:15 AM August 6 in Japan),
followed by a minute of prayers for peace
then singing of John Lennon’s Imagine.
All are invited to ring bells, chimes, and gongs

Universal Peace Day brings people around the world together to share their vision of peace and to transform a remembrance of horror into a rededication of life. The legacy of Universal Peace Day, sponsored by Art For The People, began in 1984 in Central Park, where Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary performed before a candle lighting ceremony at the moment of the Hiroshima bombing. Over the years, Universal Peace Day events have taken place in numerous NYC locations and all over the world.

Every child will receive a certificate of participation by registering online and uploading their artwork. Winners and Finalist will receive great prizes and certificates.
