Another show in the Festival by the Director of Collap$e David Hirsch is:
Going Up (The Elevator Musical) which is a musical comedy. It is about five strangers stuck in an elevator and how they have to overcome their differences and work together in order to get through their disaster. The show climaxes with one of the passengers having to give birth in the elevator aided by a bicycle courier from Syria who has delivered babies before – except they were goats. The other passengers on the elevator are a heavy-set illustrator who tries diffuse arguments, an angsty teenager who is sneaking into her mother’s office to have sex with her boyfriend, and a woman who is trying to overcome her fear of elevators. The show is a lot of fun and the theme is something that would work extremely well with your programming. If you’d like to do an interview with us and get maybe a song or two, I’d be happy to work something out with you. Emmanuelle is in this show as well as the pregnant woman who gives birth. This show goes up on Tuesday 25.
