Zhen Joy Lin, Dame of St. John of Jerusalem and president of World Water Rescue Foundation…

March 22, 2013 By David Katzmire Leave a Comment

Zhen Joy Lin, Dame of St. John of Jerusalem and president of World Water Rescue Foundation and Vice President of Good News Broadcast is feeding white swans for celebration The United Nations World water Day. Water is from divine Water is the secret of life, save water is save life, love water is love life, because life is the most precious. As days gradually lengthen and the last vestiges of Winter recede, ice and snow begin to melt and the first buds of Spring appear. In many parts of the world the Swan is a symbol of light and considered the harbinger of Spring, and to me one of the most wonderful sights at this time of year are swans floating serenely on village ponds, in parks and on rivers. With their long serpentine necks and pure white plumage, throughout the ages their grace and … [Continue reading...]

Please share my love of animals and music on December 13

January 2, 2013 By David Katzmire Leave a Comment

Dr. Jeffrey Levy - House Call Vet NYC A great big thank you Dear friends, Thanks to all of you who supported me in 2012 with my NYC house call veterinary practice and my band Pet-Rox. A special thank you to all who came to our Pet-Rox annual fundraiser on Dec 13. For those of you who couldn't make it, here's a short video that captures the spirit of the event. http://youtu.be/emurjfyx1qM. I've long made a habit of photographing lost pet posters when I'm on my rounds throughout NYC. Social media gives me a new and more effective way to share them so that we can reunite these terrified animals with their families. To help me with this campaign, I ask you to please "like" my Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/HouseCallVetNYC?ref=ts&fref=ts and follow me on Twitter at House Call … [Continue reading...]

October 12, 2012 By David Katzmire Leave a Comment

The 13th Annual Nightwalk in New York to benefit Guiding Eyes for the Blind will take place October 13th at the schoolyard, Columbus Avenue and West 77nd Street. Sign in is at 7 p.m.; the walk begins at 8 p.m. Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB) is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs and training for Blind people.  It costs GEB $45,000 to raise and train just one dog! GEB provides their dogs at no cost to the blind person  and without any government funding.  Donations make it all possible.  Guiding Eyes for the Blind relies solely on contributions. One hundred  percent of the donations go to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.  Of course, moral support alone cannot sustain a cause as worthy as GEB.  Be it small or large, every dollar matters.  Included is sponsor and … [Continue reading...]
