There is currently a proposal by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to delist wolves across the lower 48 states from the Endangered Species Act protections they currently receive. I can speak from firsthand experience on the Turner lands that wolves are important to the balance in the ecosystem. We have over 30 wolves on the Flying D Ranch outside of Bozeman, Montana. Last year, we took a Turner Foundation retreat to the ranch to observe the wolves. I am convinced more than ever they are an important part of God’s creation. Defenders of Wildlife recently created an incredible two minute video illustrating the history of America’s wolves and the challenges they could face if the proposal is passed. Please check it and the new Places for Wolves report out on my blog. … [Continue reading...]

Animal Rescue Group Once Again Rush to the Aid of Animals in Need
In the aftermath of the devastation left by the tornados that ravaged the town of Moore, Oklahoma on May 20th, a group dedicated to the rescue, recovery and aid for pets in need was already en route to the storm sight. “Our supply trucks are on the ground and the Guardians of Rescue volunteers are already in action,” affirms Robert Misseri, president and founder of Guardians of Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping all animals in need.
Based in New York, and still a vital part of the rescue of animals after Hurricane Sandy, the group wasted no time in coming to the aid of pets and their owners in Oklahoma. “The loss of life, homes and belongings is tragic, and many times the loss of the family … [Continue reading...]

She is a wonderful Person who helps many. … [Continue reading...]
Zhen Joy Lin, Dame of St. John of Jerusalem and president of World Water Rescue Foundation and Vice President of Good News Broadcast is feeding white swans for celebration The United Nations World water Day. Water is from divine Water is the secret of life, save water is save life, love water is love life, because life is the most precious.
As days gradually lengthen and the last vestiges of Winter recede, ice and snow begin to melt and the first buds of Spring appear. In many parts of the world the Swan is a symbol of light and considered the harbinger of Spring, and to me one of the most wonderful sights at this time of year are swans floating serenely on village ponds, in parks and on rivers. With their long serpentine necks and pure white plumage, throughout the ages their grace and … [Continue reading...]
Epitaph / Farewell letter that I'm placing with Angel when I bury her on Towd Point and that I posted on Facebook
December 4th, 2012
Enjoy the Towd Point Sunsets
My Beautiful Angel ___ ...
Enjoy your gait, as you prance across the stars.
Enjoy your wings, as you sail across to Samadhi.
Enjoy the sounds you hear,
Now that the noise is all forgotten.
Enjoy the effortless breath of your now eternal life,
In the Mystic, in the Moonlight, by the Oceans Sands of Time
Of all the world class love affairs that have blessed my life across the years, none were quite so sweet, so gentle,
so tender, nor so dear.
We whispered words of love within our glances
and throughout our joys, in our moments spent together,
clinging to one another's side.
So Enjoy the … [Continue reading...]

Dwight Nelson recently told a true story about the pastor of his church. He had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc.
The kitty would not come down. The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and pulled it until the tree bent down, he could then reach up and get the kitten.
That's what he did, all the while checking his progress in the car. He then figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved the car a little further forward, the rope broke.
The tree went 'boing!' and the kitten instantly sailed through the air - out of sight.
The pastor felt terrible. He walked all over … [Continue reading...]

Other activities include video contest, new online course for puppy mill advocates
As Mother’s Day approaches, The Humane Society of the United States asks supporters from around the globe to remember the mother dogs suffering in puppy mills, spending their lives in cramped wire cages, often with barely enough food and water to stay alive as they churn out puppies for sale at pet stores and online.
To mark the sixth annual Puppy Mill Action Week, which takes place through Friday and supports advocacy efforts to crack down on puppy mills, The HSUS is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone who provides any information leading to the arrest and conviction of a puppy mill operator for illegal animal cruelty. Persons wishing to report a valid tip are encouraged to call … [Continue reading...]
