December 7, 2012 By David Katzmire Leave a Comment

Dear Friends, Many of you may remember Barry Commoner - he died yesterday at 95. He was one of the influential people in my early life - he just made so much common sense. I remember him saying something to the effect, "One day humans will wake up and will no longer be able to breathe." Everything must go somewhere. Nature knows best. There is no such thing as a free lunch In a 2007 interview with the New York Times, he said: I think that most of the … [Continue reading...]

March 5, 2012 By David Katzmire Leave a Comment

For Recent or Soon-To-Be College Graduates: Job Search Advice from a Genuine Success Story In his response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address on January 24, 2012, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels stated: “Nearly half of all persons under 30 did not go to work today.” Is it any wonder so many college grads are resigned to living with their parents and settling for any job—barista, gas pumper, cashier—that will help them pay off their student loan debt? When he was a senior in college, and unemployment was the highest it had been in 10 years, Pete Leibman didn’t let a down economy stop him from going after his dream job: working for a pro sports franchise. He didn’t let lack of experience, naysayers, or fear stop him either. Thanks to his winner’s mindset, … [Continue reading...]
