Acclaimed Director and Digital Innovator Kevin Smith
And actress and humanitarian Eliza Dushku will be among guest “Catalysts”
Forget all you know about think tanks, tech conferences, TED events and Richard Branson’s group of “Elders,” … and get ready for “The St0ry,” part of a series of “Connection Point” events under the auspices of ROI Community – a global community of Jewish innovators created by philanthropist Lynn Schusterman.
This unique gathering brings together 30 of the brightest up-and-coming minds – from a diversity of fields – to explore and explode the boundaries of “storytelling” and how evolving digital trends are impacting our everyday lives.
Among those taking part in The St0ry are comedian and writer Michelle Collins (Kathy Griffin, Best Week Ever, Vanity Fair); David D. Burstein, contributor to Fast Company and author of the upcoming book Fast Future: How the Millennial Generation is Shaping Our World; Sarah Passe, Business Development Executive at Creative Artists Agency, focused specifically on the rapidly-growing digital content space; and Josh Bernstein, executive producer of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards and the Rock & Roll Roast series.
The group will be joined by guest “Catalysts,” acclaimed director, producer, podcaster and digital innovator, Kevin Smith; actress, activist and humanitarian, Eliza Dushku; and Viacom Media Networks’ Executive Vice President, and poet, Ross Martin. The three day event, from January 5th through 7th, takes place in Las Vegas before the annual CES gathering.
The St0ry is the brainchild of Jacob Shwirtz – named in 2012 to Multichannel News’ list of “Top 10 Social Media Mavens” in the media industry. Jacob is a frequent writer and speaker on the evolution of digital content, social media strategy and the media industry.
Says Shwirtz: “I am excited there is so much diverse talent among our 30 participants – each offering a unique and insightful ‘story.’ We may all have the common bond of being Jewish, but our content and passions are truly universal – and our guest catalysts will enrich the experience even more with their own unique perspectives.”
