To raise public awareness, correct misperceptions and offer support to the millions of Americans suffering with fibromyalgia — the most common widespread, chronic pain condition in the US — the National Fibromyalgia Association (NFA) is launching a new public awareness campaign, Facing Fibromyalgia, Finding Hope. The campaign will include a public service announcement and an interactive Web site where visitors can: Ģ Learn about the condition and find out where to go for help and support Ģ Read about the latest treatments and research Ģ Discover key questions to ask their physicians The NFA will also unveil the results of a new survey evaluating the publics awareness and perceptions about fibromyalgia, which shows that people have a lot to learn about the debilitating pain condition.
