Bernt has served as second vice president, Corporate Planning & Development since 2002, with responsibility for merger and acquisition initiatives and corporate development activities. “Duane’s experience across multiple disciplines in the insurance industry, combined with an expansive understanding of the financial aspects of our daily operations, made him an ideal candidate for this critical position,” said Fred Crawford, senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer, Lincoln Financial Group. “His appointment is also a testimony to the bench strength within Lincoln.”
Bernt began his career with CIGNA’s Actuarial Executive Development Program in 1992, taking on assignments of increasing responsibility focused on managed health care pricing, institutional investment pricing and annuity product management and pricing.
