ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel Film Event Thursday, January 8, 2009

For the second year in a row ELEM-Entry – The Young Leadership of ELEM in NY celebrates Israeli talents working in NY by screening an award winning Israeli film and bringing together the pool of Israeli talent in New York that are making an impact in art, photography, architecture, acting, cinema, music, curators and fashion for an all-night celebration at the hottest club in the city. Thursday, January 8th, 2009 6:30 – 9:30 pm: Reception + Screening + Q&A of Winner of Berlin Film Festival “Live and Become” followed by Q&A with Ricki Mullo and ELEM youth Chelsea Clearview Cinemas 260 W23rd st. “Live and Become” has been hailed by critics as “Riveting and “Unforgettable”. Starring Abecassis and an extraordinary newcomer, it tells the tale of an Ethiopian boy adopted by an Israeli family. The film is epic in scope, moving, and we are excited to be able to share it with everyone. 10:00 – dawn: “Living the Dream – Annual Celebration of Israeli Talent in NY” Free drinks till 10:45 pm The Mansion 530 W28th st. At the Mansion, the first 45 minutes will be free drinks for all, and we will also be providing a VIP area including champagne and light refreshments for our recognized artists (complimentary) and our patrons ($100 per ticket). Based on last year’s event its going to be great!
