What: Woman’s Day presented the 8th Annual Red Dress Awards honoring individuals who have increased awareness and contributed to the fight against heart disease and benefitting the American Heart Association and Events of the Heart.
Thisspecial evening honored legendary TV newswoman Barbara Walters,Hoda Kotb of NBC’s Today Show, Delores E. Covington, Dr. Rita F Redberg, and Denise Morrison. “Extra” Anchor Mario Lopez hosted and special guests includedE!’s Guliana Rancic, Parenthood’s Monica Potter, Joan London, plus performances by Grammy nominatedsingers Natasha Bedingfield and Cee Lo Green,Charice from “Glee”and the BroadwayInspirational Voices who are a group of Broadway stars making a difference through the gift of music, and much more!
Why: With heart disease remaining as the #1 health risk for women, Womans Day continues to emphasize the importance of women taking a stand for their own health. The evening is to honor and thank those individuals who have made great contributions to awareness of and the fight against this disease.
