BP MARKOWITZ HONORS PETER LUGER FOR BEING NAMED BEST STEAKHOUSE IN THE UNITED STATES BY USA TODAY
On Tuesday, July 17, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz presented a proclamation and “Brooklyn Bridge” to the owners of Peter Luger in Williamsburg in celebration of the historic Brooklyn eatery being named the best steakhouse in the nation by USA Today.
“Now Americans across the country know what Brooklynites and New Yorkers have known all along: that Peter Luger is, hands down, the best place to eat a steak in America,” said BP Markowitz. “Since 1887, Peter Luger has not only stood the test of time, it’s been the gold standard for steakhouses, using only the freshest ingredients and the best beef you can find. Others have done their best to copy, but Peter Luger can never be duplicated.”
