Tickets are available now for $100 per person at http://www.pancan.org/cookinupacure”>www.pancan.org/cookinupacure and will be available at the door for $125 per person. Cookin’ Up a Cure will take place at Midtown Loft and Terrace located at 267 Fifth Avenue, 11th floor and will feature executive chefs from restaurants all over New York City including: 540 Park at the Loews Regency Hotel, Steak Frites, Lusardi’s, Sosa Dorelo, Cook with Class, ALFAMA, and The Hotel Plaza Athenee. In addition to gourmet food tasting and cocktails, there will be a silent auction, raffle and live entertainment. Cookin’ Up a Cure will help raise awareness and much needed funds for pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the United States and in 2008, nearly 38,000 Americans will be diagnosed with the disease and over 33,000 will die. Despite the devastating statistics, pancreatic cancer is the least funded among leading cancer killers with less than 2% of the National Cancer Institute’s annual research budget allocated to the disease.
